deliver us to evil

friday, august 10th, 2018

so many have written about the left's meltdowns over the past years – meltdowns that include our mainstream media, or what I call the Democrat-media complex. The left has been (correctly) called unhinged, serial liars, power-mad, angry, out-of-control, spite-filled, envious, spoiled, while constantly engaging in toddler-like tantrums. The left has been (correctly) exposed as brimming with hatred for opponents, being filled with inane, oft-times insane beliefs. These are the libertine #MeTooers who all knew that their heroes were sexual predators, are fully gender confused, and are unsurpassed hypocrites.

The left apparently now supports socialism, despises free enterprise, can't abide religious expression (hate god), can't handle other opinions or debate, believes so many things that simply aren't so, is trying to squelch the First Amendment as much as it can in institutions it rules, has embraced the invasion of America by illegal aliens and the replacement of the American voting population by said illegals, and supports the demonization of white males.

And that's just the short list.

Seriously, we all know that the modern, inbred U.S. of A. left has gone beyond anything we've witnessed in a long time. It's mass delusion, confusion, lying, pomposity, smugness, and group think. I stole somewhat from Tucker Carlson. But I think the left has become a lot worse than he does. Sometimes he allows his "guests," the leftist ones, to get away with saying things no one should be able to say without being instantly chastised.

There are lots of theories about this leftist meltdown, and a lot of them are right. But I want to point over to a line not many care to look at. The title of this post misquotes what we know as The Lord's Prayer, where He asks us to pray to be delivered from evil.

Okay, some of you are saying, "He's pulling the Church Lady card out. I'm outta here." Patience, please. I am not going to be Jonathan Chait's goofy mirror image on the center-right.

But I am going to dare to look at the E-word: evil.

What is evil? Killing is evil, lying is evil, slandering is evil, abuse is evil, gossip is evil, envy is evil, hatred is evil, to cling to false doctrine is evil; all these things are evil. And what is the root of evil? Desire is the root of evil, illusion is the root of evil.

Some might be calling me an uptight, white Christian bigot right now – except that was a quote from Buddha. The original uptight, white Christian bigot. Believe it or not, most widely accepted philosophies from a diversity of cultures had serious agreements on what constitutes evil. It was CS Lewis who said (correctly) that there is far more agreement on what is right and wrong in different cultures than disagreement. What Buddha is quoted as saying could have been said by a Hindu, a Sikh, St. Paul, or Moses – which is to say there is real agreement on this subject across cultures.

There are behaviors that are consistently condemned across the world. Buddha nailed them. Moses nailed them. Confucius nailed them. Jesus nailed them. Don't cross those lines; don't go there. These are lines of behavior that destroy, wreak havoc, and leave individuals and cultures in shambles. Like Venezuela. And that is why they are so universally condemned. Multiculturalism at its finest.

So why is the left crossing so many of these lines of behavior? A hint:

"In keeping silent about evil, in burying it so deep within us that no sign of it appears on the surface, we are implanting it, and it will rise up a thousand fold in the future. When we neither punish nor reproach evildoers, we are not simply protecting their trivial old age, we are thereby ripping the foundations of justice from beneath new generations."/

– Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn, wrote in 'The Gulag Archipelago'.

Solzhenitsyn saw evil that was full. He was imprisoned for decades for writing one line asking, " if Stalin was so wise". One line. Yet no one said anything. The powers that were made sure you couldn't. Even though what Stalin did was outrageously horrifying, he died after a lifetime in office.

In our time and place, we on the center-right often stay mute. Or we call what is happening something else. We call what the left does unhinged, stupid, over the top, outrageous, wrong-headed, unjustified, uncalled for, bizarre. We complain about the double standards.

But it's become more than any of those things. It's an amalgamation of all of them; it's a quantum leap of wrongdoing the left has succumbed to. Willingly. Purposefully. With malice aforethought.

Does anyone believe after the summit between Trump and Putin that the response of the Democrat-media complex wasn't planned, communicated among the leaders, and then executed? Does anyone believe that Peter Strzok testified truthfully and without being guarded by the Democrat-media complex?

The outrage of the week (day) is often planned out by the left. Talking points are shared and used over and over. Strzok and the summit, for example. The meeting with Putin allowed the re-orchestration of the moronic "Russia-gate." The left regurgitated it all for days. The level of outrage was beyond comprehension. And for what? The meeting of two leaders who control the most nuclear weapons in the world.

Yep, never happened before.

Let me say it clearly. The talking points circulated were straight from the pit of Hell. Maybe even straight from Ezra Klein of JournoList fame. No one on the left dared to murmur against them. No leftist in the Democrat-media complex even hesitated. George Will, Max Boot, John McCain, and Marco Rubio (and others on the fake center-right) predictably made fools of themselves. Again.

Three quotes from C.S. Lewis:

1. "The descent to hell is easy and those who begin by worshipping power, soon worship evil." 2. "The greatest evils in the world will not be carried out by men with guns, but by men in suits sitting behind desks." 3. "It is not done even in concentration camps and labor camps. In those we see its final result. But it is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried, and minuted) in clean, carpeted, warmed and well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voices. Hence, naturally enough, my symbol for Hell is something like the bureaucracy of a police state or the office of a thoroughly nasty business concern."

A perfect description of Strzok, McCabe, Comey, Brennan, Clapper, the Clintons, Barack the Smug, Schumer, Pelosi. Leaders, all. But look at what they did. It was a horrifying intensification of evil.

Lesser people like Eric Swallwell, Adam Schiff, Sally Yates, and so many others in the leftist base chime in daily to protect their "leaders," or what they themselves have illicitly participated in, and still do.

It's because they got away with being spoiled toddlers. For decades. It's because the media aligned with one party for decades, skewing their reporting beyond comprehension for ideas and people they favored, and against those they hated. They crossed that multicultural line of wrongdoing.

The left asked to be delivered across that line. By their behavior, they assented.

It was not like the legends of Faust. They didn't sign a pact with the devil as he did. They just kept on acting as if they had. Because no one called it what it was; no one on their side, and few on the other, said what needed to be said.

On the left, you've become a house of horrors. The American people are learning what you have become. We know about the terrible things you've done. Take care, because for the first time in your lifetime, there will be consequences.

A Day In The Life.

Up at 7:30a on Friday, I made coffee, checked the weather and news, and left for some errands and a "tech visit" to Dad's to see what's wrong with his computer. I had a couple of stops to make on the way over, and after I'd arrived, found that the "WiFi connectivity problem" had fixed itself. Probably a nearby lightning hit in the morning's t-storm, like we'd get hit with, almost every week, at the Ol' Garden Center & Nursery. Damn, I miss that place and having somewhere to go and something to do, 7 days a week, all year long. Being "retired" and as sick as I am, truly sucks. I was looking forward to "retirement", while I worked the final 23yrs, as I did at my business. After a nice visit w/ Dad and Becky, I picked-up some ready Rxs, and headed home.

The older we get, the better we used to be.

Hells bells, it's almost September, and I haven't got the condo's sun room anywhere near done yet, let alone completed and other rooms free-up for painters and other subs to get in and get their assigned projects done. Oh well, it is what it is. I just can't make people move any faster, without getting loud about it, and I don't have the financial power, influence or muscle backing me up, as I did with the Ol' Garden Center & Nursery, once upon a time. The forecast was for VERY HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS, DAMAGING HAIL, LIGHTENING STRIKES AND SEVERE FLOODING, and it didn't disappoint. A massive Nor'Easter was churning out of the Gulf waters, and running some 700-800 miles up the Eastern Coast. Starting at around 6:30p, and moving a slow 15mph, it lasted until just before midnight, and my small garden's rain gauge, though cracked and leaking, reported 6¼" (Note To Self: Get a new one and replace the useless, cracked one."). The actual numbers around here aren't known yet, but nearby weather reporting stations read over 7". By 12 midnight, I'd had enough, checked my local AccuWeather.com's website for tomorrow's forecast, and it sucked, too.

Am I getting older, or is the supermarket playing great music?

I wound-up staying-up until 2a, and it was STILL RAINING! This isn't going to work out well for people living in lower areas, and those in flood plains are in serious trouble. Too bad, but they made their choices when they bought the places. I can see the flooded areas, tomorrow. Sleep felt good.

Up at 7:30a on Saturday, and again drenched in sweat. but no fever, I took the morning shower, made coffee, had a muffin and scanned the news and weather. We've had 13.62" of rain since last Thursday, Sept 3rd, one full 24hr period. Yowzer, that's a boatload of rainfall. The sun came out and highlighted the leaf/grass debris strewn around streets and lawns. York, Lancaster and Lebanon Counties were each under an ***AREAL FLOOD WATCH*** from different areas of the Susquehanna River and Codorus Creek, which had risen 12-15ft since Friday's long-term rain started. My belly pain has mercifully stopped, but the right shoulder/neck muscle pain continues. The CT-scans don't pick-up anything in that area, either muscle on bone, so it's not a rotator cuff or joint injury; no one's sure of what it could be, but it's real from inside my head.

Saturday was a nice, sunny, in-the-70s-day, so I went for a short walk around the condo complex, but had to stay near the condo, as I took a diuretic (water pill called Lasix), and needed to take a whiz every 15-20mins. I laid down on the LR couch, and fell asleep for a couple of hours. By 6p, I watched History Channel's "Draining The Oceans" until 10:30p, called it quits and went to bed. The F-1 Czech Grand Prix was supposed to be on at 8a tomorrow, on NBCsports, but it's now disappeared from Comcast-xfinity's online TV listings, so I can sleep-in and get some laundry and light condo chores done. I still can't lift more than 10lbs, Dr's orders after the procedure/surgery.

Back up at 7:30a on Sunday, I made coffee, took some (useless for me) Tylenol® and turned on the CATV, hoping beyond hopes that the Czech F-1 Grand Prix would be on. It wasn't; Mecum Auto Auctions (in Harrisburg this week) was. I enjoy that, but it gets boring after a few hours. I had to run some errands, and my jaw dropped when I stopped at Sears, which'd been here since the mid-80s, was the very few employees left, emptying out the store of all fixtures, counters etc. All merchandise was already gone. I used to buy all my Lee® Jeans and Craftsman® Tools there. Sad. It was a miserable and humid day, at 92°F. Factor-in all the rain we had (13.6" in under 2 days) and the humidity got even worse. You know it's going to be a shitty day when the night before's temp was 76°F, and the whole week was shaping-up to go that way.

I may be dumb, but I'm not stupid.

After truncated errands, because Sears was MIA, I came home and worked on the Condo Budget for the rest of the 3rd quarter, and 4th quarter. CATV had "American Pickers" on all day, while History Channel ran documentaries, Discovery and NatGeo Channels sucked, and Velocity Channel showed reruns. I stayed up until 11p, took an Rx painkiller to take the edge off my right shoulder and just returned left-side stomach pain and went to bed. I hope this week gets busy with some of the subs who are working on my sunroom, as we're into the 2nd week of August, and the rest-of-the-condo painters, plumbers, electricians, flooring and the rest of the small army, at the beginning of September. Lights out.

I got almost no sleep Monday night into Tuesday morning, maybe 1-2hrs, due to my right shoulder and neck pain. Even the 20mg Rx Oxycodones didn't help. I switched to a heating pad around 6a, but it was already light outside, and I have a hard time sleeping well during the day. I can do light naps, but good sleep is difficult for me, unless I'm totally exhausted. My friend Lee, stopped by, and we reviewed what we were going to work on, this and next Saturday, as far as removing small items from the condo (to the condo's basemernt), so they'd be out of the painters' way, and not get damaged or broken.

After he'd left, I grabbed a few winks in the leather recliner until 6p, instead of my big, overstuffed comfy leather chair. I called Purtple Heart/Green Drop to arrange an estimate next Thursday, to get both sofas, 1980s Infinity RSb2 Studio Reference Series stereo speakers, whic is unhooked from my 1980s Bang & Olufsen Receiver and Turntable, both in MOMA's Permanent Collection. No way in hell am I giving away thast B&O System! By 10:30p, I was fading, pulled the plug and headed upstairs. Tomorrow's another day.

Up at 7:20a on Wednesday, I felt pretty darned good; my right shoulder/neck wasn't hurting, and I had an appetite. I made oatmeal, coffee, checked the weather forecast (90°F+) and news. Just more BS. I had some errands to run, and stops to make at Lowe's, Home Depot and Wolf's Furniture's 3ac showroom, and then by 12-p, I'd probably stay inside to avoid the afternoon heat. At 9:30a, it was already 81°F, and climbing to 91 by 5p. The humidity was stifling. Inside it was a balmy 76°F, so I stayed-in after finishing-up errands and stops. Massive t-storem cells rolled thru around 6:30p, dumping another ¾" on us; no complaints from me. I worked on the upcoming condo demo schedule, primarily the sunroom, and finally subs are calling me back. CATV had some lousy shows on, so I bagged it at 10p, since the sub w/ 3 new screen/storm and a solid door is due in here at 7:30-8 to get them fitted and hung.

Chad ran into more rot problems at the sill base of the back door, when show had laid against all winter, melted and rotted the wood frame, for the past 28yrs. It had to be either cut out and "dutch-manned" (York County Term), or the entire frame and part of the wall cut out and replaced, and I chose the former. He removed the siding, let it all dry out and covered it with Tyvek®, and then recovered it with cleaned-up siding. Chad worked until dark, since his family was down at the shore for the week. He'll be back tomorrow to get the dual-use Lawson screen/storm doors hung.

Chad left around 6:30p, I had some dinner and the skies opened-up and just poured. I watched Speed Is The New Black on Velocity TV until 11, and pulled the plug at 10:30p. Cleaning ladies are due in at 8:30a, Chad's due back after 10a or so, and the 1-800-I-Got-Junk's guys coming by for an estimate between 10-12. Busy morning.

I overslept until 8:15a, with the cleaning ladies due in any moment, and the 1-800-I-Got-Junk guys due soon. I raced to get dressed, coffee going and sure enough, everyone showed-up at once. Chad was here all day work on rebuilding door sills, install the 2 back doors, and he work 3hrs on the front screen door, to make it fit. I crahed around 10p.

Fake Liberal Media BS

The most insidious power of the corrupt, criminal liberal media, is the power to ignore the truth.

Here, have some fun. Something stinks within America's newsrooms. It's the stench of liberal bias permeating the so-called mainstream media. From lies and deceit to distortions and character assassinations, the liberal media dish out leftist BS to drive their radical agenda.

Chris Plante, host of The Chris Plante Show on WMAL (DC) from 9-12, weekdays, said, "The most insidious power the media has, if the power to ignore." Think about what that really means and you can readily see what an evil force the corrupt, criminal, liberal-demokkkRAT-controlled, butt-kissing, fawning circlefest media assholes, are.

Think you can detect it? Take this test (sorry; website since deleted) and find out just how much BS the liberal media are dishing out. Wear your hip-waders; the bullshit is deep!
