autopsy of a dead coup

friday, march 1st, 2019

The illegal effort to destroy the 2016 Trump campaign by Hillary Clinton campaign’s use of funds to create, disseminate among court media, and then salt among high Obama administration officials, a fabricated, opposition smear dossier failed.

So has the second special prosecutor phase of the coup to abort the Trump presidency failed. There are many elements to what in time likely will become recognized as the greatest scandal in American political history, marking the first occasion in which U.S. government bureaucrats sought to overturn an election and to remove a sitting U.S. president.

Preparing the Battlefield

No palace coup can take place without the perception of popular anger at a president.

The deep state is by nature cowardly. It does not move unless it feels it can disguise its subterranean efforts or that, if revealed, those efforts will be seen as popular and necessary—as expressed in tell-all book titles such as fired FBI Directors James Comey’s Higher Loyalty or in disgraced Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe’s psychodramatic The Threat.

In candidate and President Trump’s case that prepping of the battlefield translated into a coordinated effort among the media, political progressives and celebrities to so demonize Trump that his imminent removal likely would appear a relief to the people. Anything was justified that led to that end.

All through the 2016 campaign and during the first two years of the Trump presidency the media’s treatment, according to liberal adjudicators of press coverage, ran about 90 percent negative toward Trump—a landmark bias that continues today.

Journalists themselves consulted with the Clinton campaign to coordinate attacks. From the Wikileaks trove, journalistic grandees such as John Harwood, Mark Leibovich, Dana Milbank, and Glenn Thrush often communicated (and even post factum were unapologetic about doing so) with John Podesta’s staff to construct various anti-Trump themes and have the Clinton campaign review or even audit them in advance.

Some contract “journalists” apparently were paid directly by Fusion GPS—created by former reporters Glen Simpson of the Wall Street Journal and Susan Schmidt of the Washington Post—to spread lurid stories from the dossier. Others more refined like Christiane Amanpour and James Rutenberg had argued for a new journalistic ethos that partisan coverage was certainly justified in the age of Trump, given his assumed existential threat to The Truth. Or as Rutenberg put it in 2016: “If you view a Trump presidency as something that’s potentially dangerous, then your reporting is going to reflect that. You would move closer than you’ve ever been to being oppositional. That’s uncomfortable and uncharted territory for every mainstream, non-opinion journalist I’ve ever known, and by normal standards, untenable. But the question that everyone is grappling with is: Do normal standards apply? And if they don’t, what should take their place?”

I suppose Rutenberg never considered that half the country might have considered the Hillary Clinton presidency “potentially dangerous,” and yet did not expect the evening news, in 90 percent of its coverage, to reflect such suspicions.

The Democratic National Committee’s appendages often helped to massage CNN news coverage—such as Donna Brazile’s primary debate tip-off to the Clinton campaign or CNN’s consultation with the DNC about forming talking points for a scheduled Trump interview.

So-called “bombshell,” “watershed,” “turning-point,” and “walls closing in” fake news aired in 24-hour news bulletin cycles. The media went from fabrications about Trump’s supposed removal of the bust of Martin Luther King, Jr. from the Oval Office, to the mythologies in the Steele dossier, to lies about the Trump Tower meeting, to assurances that Michael Cohen would testify to Trump’s suborning perjury, and on and on.

CNN soon proved that it is no longer a news organization at all—as reporters like Gloria Borger, Chris Cuomo, Eric Lichtblau, Manu Raju, Brian Rokus, Jake Tapper, Jeff Zeleny, and teams such as Jim Sciutto, Carl Bernstein, and Marshall Cohen as well as Thomas Frank, and Lex Harris all trafficked in false rumors and unproven gossip detrimental to Trump, while hosts and guest hosts such as Reza Aslan, the late Anthony Bourdain, and Anderson Cooper stooped to obscenity and grossness to attack Trump.

Both politicos and celebrities tried to drive Trump’s numbers down to facilitate some sort of popular ratification for his removal. Hollywood and the coastal corridor punditry exhausted public expressions of assassinating or injuring the president, as the likes of Jim Carrey, Johnny Depp, Robert de Niro, Peter Fonda, Kathy Griffin, Madonna, Snoop Dogg, and a host of others vied rhetorically to slice apart, shoot, beat up, cage, behead, and blow up the president.

Left wing social media and mainstream journalism spread sensational lies about supposed maniacal Trump supporters in MAGA hats. They constructed fantasies that veritable white racists were now liberated to run amuck insulting and beating up people of color as they taunted the poor and victimized minorities with vicious Trump sloganeering—even as the Covington farce and now the even more embarrassing Jussie Smollett charade evaporated without apologies from the media and progressive merchants of such hate.

At the same time, liberal attorneys, foundations, Democratic politicians, and progressive activists variously sued to overturn the election on false charges of rigged voting machines. They sought to subvert the Electoral College. They introduced articles of impeachment. They sued to remove Trump under the Emoluments Clause. They attempted to invoke the 25th Amendment. And they even resurrected the ossified Logan Act—before focusing on the appointment of a special counsel to discredit the Trump presidency. Waiting for the 2020 election was seen as too quaint.

Weaponizing the Deep State

During the 2016 election, the Obama Department of Justice warped the Clinton email scandal investigation, from Bill Clinton’s secret meeting on an airport tarmac with Attorney General Loretta Lynch, to unethical immunity given to the unveracious Clinton aides Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills, to James Comey’s convoluted predetermined treatment of “likely winner” Clinton, and to DOJ’s Bruce Ohr’s flagrant conflict of interests in relation to Fusion GPS.

About a dozen FBI and DOJ grandees have now resigned, retired, been fired, or reassigned for unethical and likely illegal behavior—and yet have not faced criminal indictments. The reputation of the FBI as venerable agency is all but wrecked. Its administrators variously have libeled the Trump voters, expressed hatred for Trump, talked of “insurance policies” in ending the Trump candidacy, and inserted informants into the Trump campaign.

The former Obama directors of the CIA and National Intelligence, with security clearances intact, hit the television airways as paid “consultants” and almost daily accused the sitting president of Russian collusion and treason—without cross-examination or notice that both previously had lied under oath to Congress (and did so without subsequent legal exposure), and both were likely knee-deep in the dissemination of the Steele dossier among Obama administration officials.

John Brennan’s CIA likely helped to spread the Fusion GPS dossier among elected and administrative state officials. Some in the NSC in massive and unprecedented fashion requested the unmasking of surveilled names of Trump subordinates, and then illegally leaked them to the press.

The FISA courts, fairly or not, are now mostly discredited, given they either were willingly or naively hoodwinked by FBI and DOJ officials who submitted as chief evidence for surveillance on American citizens, an unverified dossier—without disclosure that the bought campaign hit-piece was paid for by Hillary Clinton, authored by a discredited has-been British agent, relied on murky purchased Russian sources, and used in circular fashion to seed news accounts of supposed Trump misbehavior.

The Mueller Investigation

The Crown Jewel in the coup was the appointment of special counsel Robert Muller to discover supposed 2016 Trump-Russian election collusion. Never has any special investigation been so ill-starred from its conception.

Mueller’s appointment was a result of his own friend James Comey’s bitter stunt of releasing secret, confidential and even classified memos of presidential conversations. Acting DOJ Attorney Rod Rosenstein appointed a former colleague Mueller—although as a veteran himself of the Clinton email scandal investigations and the FISA fraudulent writ requests, Rosenstein was far more conflicted than was the recused Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Mueller then packed his investigative team with lots of Clinton donors and partisans, some of whom had legally represented Clinton subordinates and even the Clinton Foundation or voiced support for anti-Trump movements.

Mueller himself and Andrew Weissmann have had a long record of investigatory and prosecutorial overreach that had on occasion resulted in government liability and court mandated federal restitution. In such polarized times, neither should have involved in such an investigation. Two subordinate FBI investigators were caught earlier on conducting an affair over their FBI-issued cell phones, and during the election cycle they slurred the object of their subsequent investigation, ridiculed Trump voters, and bragged that Trump would never be elected. Mueller later staggered, and then hid for weeks the reasons for, their respective firings.

The team soon discovered there was no Trump-Russian 2016 election collusion—and yet went ahead to leverage Trump campaign subordinates on process crimes in hopes of finding some culpability in Trump’s past 50-year business, legal, and tax records. The point was not to find who colluded with whom (if it had been, then Hillary Clinton would be now indicted for illegally hiring with campaign funds a foreign national to buy foreign fabrications to discredit her opponent), but to find the proper mechanism to destroy the presumed guilty Donald Trump.

The Mueller probe has now failed in that gambit of proving “collusion” (as even progressive investigative reporters and some FBI investigators had predicted), but succeeded brilliantly in two ways.

The “counterintelligence” investigation subverted two years of the Trump presidency by constant leaks that Trump soon would be indicted, jailed, disgraced, or impeached. As a result, Trump’s stellar economic and foreign policy record would never earn fifty percent of public support.

Second, Mueller’s preemptive attacks offered an effective offensive defense for the likely felonious behavior of John Brennan, James Clapper, James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Bruce Ohr, Peter Strzok, and a host of others. While the Mueller lawyers threatened to destroy the lives of bit players like Jerome Corsi, George Papadopoulos, and Roger Stone, they de facto provided exemption to a host of the Washington hierarchy who had lied under oath, obstructed justice, illegally leaked to the press, unmasked and leaked names of surveilled Americans, and misled federal courts under the guise of a “higher loyalty” to the cause of destroying Donald J. Trump.

The Palace Coup

All of the above came to a head with the firing of the chronic leaker FBI Director James Comey (who would lie to the president about his not being a target of an FBI investigation, lie to House investigatory committees by pleading amnesia and ignorance on 245 occasions, and repeatedly lie to his own FBI bureaucrats).

In May 2017, acting FBI director Andrew McCabe took over from the fired Comey. His candidate wife recently had been a recipient of huge Clinton-related campaign PAC donations shortly before he began investigating the Clinton email scandal. McCabe would soon be cited by the Inspector General for lying to federal investigators on numerous occasions—cynically stooping even to lie to his own New York FBI subordinates to invest scarce resources to hunt for their own nonexistent leaks as a mechanism for disguising his own quite real and illegal leaking.

The newly promoted McCabe apparently felt that it was his moment to become famous for taking out a now President Trump. Thus, he assembled a FBI and DOJ cadre to open a counterintelligence investigation of the sitting president on no other grounds but the fumes of an evaporating Clinton opposition dossier and perceived anger among the FBI that their director had just been fired. In addition, apparently now posing as Andrew McCabe, MD, he informally head counted how many of Trump’s own cabinet members could be convinced by McCabe’s own apparent medical expertise to help remove the president on grounds of physical and mental incapacity under the 25th Amendment. This was an attempted, albeit pathetic, coup against an elected president and the first really in the history of the United States.

At one point, McCabe claims that the acting Attorney General of the United States Rod Rosenstein volunteered to wear a wire to entrap his boss President Trump—in the manner of Trump’s own attorney Michael Cohen’s entrapment of Trump, in the manner of James Comey taking entrapment notes on confidential Trump one-on-one meetings and leaking them to the press, and in the manner of the Department of Justice surveilling Trump subordinates through FISA and other court authorizations.

McCabe was iconic of an utterly corrupt FBI Washington hierarchy, which we now know from the behavior of its disgraced and departed leadership. They posed as patriotic scouts, but in reality proved themselves arrogant, smug, and incompetent. They harbored such a sense of superiority that they were convinced they could act outside the law in reifying an “insurance policy” that would end the Trump presidency.

The thinking of the conspirators initially had been predicated on three assumptions thematic during this three-year long government effort to destroy Trump:

One, during 2016, Hillary Clinton would certainly win the election and FBI and DOJ unethical and illegal behavior would be forgotten if not rewarded, given the Clintons’ own signature transgressions and proven indifference to the law;

Two, Trump was so controversial and the fabricated dossier was so vile and salacious, that seeded rumors of Trump’s faked perversity gave them de facto exemptions to do whatever they damned pleased;

Three, Trump’s low polls, his controversial reset of American policy, and the general contempt in which he was held by the bipartisan coastal elite, celebrities, and the deep state, meant that even illegal means to continue the campaign-era effort to destroy Trump and now abort his presidency were felt to be moral and heroic acts without legal consequences, and the media would see the conspirators as heroes.

In sum, the Left and the administrative state, in concert with the media, after failing to stop the Trump campaign, regrouped. They ginned up a media-induced public hysteria, with the residue of the Hillary Clinton campaign’s illegal opposition research, and manipulated it to put in place a special counsel, stocked with partisans.

Then, not thugs in sunglasses and epaulettes, not oligarchs in private jets, not shaggy would-be Marxists, but sanctimonious arrogant bureaucrats in suits and ties used their government agencies to seek to overturn the 2016 election, abort a presidency, and subvert the U.S. Constitution. And they did all that and more on the premise that they were our moral superiors and had uniquely divine rights to destroy a presidency that they loathed.

Shame on all these failed conspirators and their abettors, and may these immoral people finally earn a long deserved legal and moral reckoning.

A Day In The Life.

Up at 7:30a on Friday, I turned-up the heat, made coffee, scanned the weather and news websites, and got ready to go to York Eye Associates to get a new side piece for my glasses, and meet Lee at the New Eastern Farmers Market. The nice Tech lady at York Eye Associates easily fixed my r/s temple piece; the spring wasn't damaged after all. It just needed a reset.

Everywhere I go, anytime of the day. Every move that I make, every word that I say. If I let myself, I'd get carried away. When I think of you. I still think of you.

I got to the Eastern Market about 9:15a, and got a parking spot right in front of the building, went inside and it was almost empty. I bought 8-9 bags of fruit, vegs, lasagna. stuffed peppers, lunchmeat, soups, Chinese food, mac & cheese (for Becky; I hate the stuff), and other things I can't remember, made numerous trips to the Jeep to stash every 2-4 bags so I wouldn't have to lug it around. The serious crowds arrived around 10:15, and the aisles got very, very crowded. I left at 10:30a, and stopped at Weis Market to p/u English Muffins and Potato Bread. I thoroughly enjoyed myself at the New Eastern Market (pics), until the crowds arrived. It had been 15-20yrs since I was last there.

Once home, I separated my stuff from Becky's, and waited for a call from her, since she was being discharged from York Hospital after 1:000p. She called about 2p, emailed me a grocery and other stuff list, and I left for Weis Market. Combined with the stuff I'd gotten that morning at Eastern Market, I had a full load in the Jeep's cargo bay. I unloaded and helped her put stuff away, talked about her condition, prognosis and upcoming medical app'ts, had a smoke in her garage, she was in a lot of GI pain, so I left.

After a nice late lunch of Rice Noodle Teriyaki, I watched a marathon of History's Ancient Aliens Declassified series' new episodes, and some new episodes of Gold Rush, which I'd missed. By 10:30p, I was fading, unplugged and hit the sack.

We spend so much time predicting the future, but we can learn so much about our present by taking a little time to peer into our past.

I slept-in until 9:30a on Saturday, fired-up both the furnace and computer, made coffee and had a couple of bottles of Ensure® MAX™ Café Mocha Protein Shake, and looked at the errand list on my desk. After going to the bank, and driving down south to the cleaners, I got home, had a Ham & Swiss on Rye Sandwich and a couple of bottles of V8 Healthy Greens, 12 oz. Bottle (Pack of 12), which I buy by the 3-case box, thru Amazon Prime.

The NASCAR xfinity Series Rinnai 250 was on at 2p, from Atlanta Motor Speedway, and it was ho-hum. I did a couple of loads of laundry. Tired, I did some a little paperwork, skipped CATV's "NBC night (Nothing But Crap), and listened to my extensive YT Playlist until 10p, and unplugged for the night.

Have you ever heard of Google's daily "Creepy Line"? Watch this short trailer. The filth who work at called FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, MS etc etc etc go there every day, too. My advice: CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNTS AND GET OFF THAT INSIDIOUS, EVIL SOFTWARE!

Flyover for Dad, 10/13/18

In anything in this life, 2nd place is the first loser.

A few days ago, a friend sent me his just-found pics of the 4 A-10 Thunderbolt "Warthogs" fly over, after the 21-Gun Salute and Folded Flag Presentation, on Sat, October 13th, at Mt Rose Cemetery, at Dad's Internment Ceremony. Nice, and thanks, Dave.

I slept-in Sunday until 10a, turned-up the heat, made, fired-up the computer to check weather and news. I grabbed a long shower, soaping and soaking my face, knees and hand would from Wednesday night's fall on the condo's ice and front sidewalk/step, and heated-up a stuffed pepper from the many goodies I got on Friday's nice trip to the New Eastern Farmer's Market. I watched the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 Miles (325 laps) race, streaming on to my Samsung 82" TV, and made a quick trip to the nearby Rutter's Convenience Store. It was a long, boring race, without any exciting crashes.

Did you ever notice that 95% of the NASCAR Drivers have pathetic beards, lousy goatees or "Dondi Boy" haircuts? Unlike my magnificent handlebar mustache. They all look the same with sunglasses and a baseball cap on. Like this guy. LOL!

If you do a job that you love, you'll never work a day in your life.

After the NASCAR race, I watched "American Pickers" until 11:30p, took my evening Rx pills, unplugged and went to bed. The 45-60mph wind was howling all night.

Up by 6:30a on Monday, I quickly turned-up the heat to 75° and turned-on the computer to get some weather maps and news. The wind was still howling. While the coffee was brewing, I had two bottles of Ensure® MAX™ Café Mocha Protein Shakes, and reordered two cases from Amazon. After running some errands, I went out for a short walk, but the 35-60mph winds forced me back home, and looking at some massive downed limbs and debris hanging from the tree, not just branches, of the 50ft White Pine (Pinus strobus) just two units west of me. I notified the CHCA Ass'n president of the damage, and that the tree either needed immediate pruning, or be removed.

Stoneyard

I watched "American Pickers" old episodes on-and-off all day, while I did some light condo chores, computer work on my messed-up email accounts, and paid some utility bills online. The new episode came on at 8p, and after that, I spent some time on FR.com boards, and closed down at 10p. I have to p/u Becky tomorrow at 8a, to visit the Balducci Stoneyards in New Freedom, PA, and meet with my old stonemason and employee, Seth, to choose stone for her 300sqft replacement patio. Lights out.

My alarm went-off at 6a, and it was a cold 21° outside. I got the heat up, computer going and made coffee, had some OJ. My injuries from falling on ice, during last Wednesday evening's ice/sleet storm, are healing nicely, and I'm leaving the bandages off now, so the air can harden the wounds' scabs and let them all heal. I checked the weather – damn, snow on Friday and I have 3 local Dr's app'ts – and news, closed down and left to p/u Sis, by 8:15a. We met Seth, she chose her stone, and we stopped at the Taylor Haus in Stewartstown for breakfast. We stopped at Walgreen's to get her waiting 2 Rxs, and I dropped her off at her condo. I had some errands to do, fuel-up the Jeep, and finally got home by 3p.

I listened to the morning's missed "Chris Plante Show" podcast, caught the weather and news, and watched the new episodes of The Curse of Oak Island and Project Blue Book, took my evening Rx pills, plus some extra aspirin for my right shoulder's severe trapezius muscle pain; advice offered here, if you have the same problem. I pulled the plug at 11p, for the night.

I dream of simple things I can believe in, like the feeling this new day brings.

Up at 5:45a, it was already getting light, and my mind kicked into gear and I couldn't sleep any longer. I fired-up the furnace and computer, grabbed my usual morning shower, washed my now-healing injuries, made coffee, warmed-up Becky's Chipped Beef on Biscuits leftovers from yesterday morning's breakfast at the Taylor Haus, and had a smoke in the cold garage.

I checked the weather and saw the headline: "Winter Storm Ryan" to dump 1-2" of snow on York area on Friday morning, with the bulk of it being north of us. Damn, I have a 7:30a and a 9:00a Drs' app'ts at Apple Hill Med Ctr, and it's going to be a bitch on the roads getting there. Normally a nice 20-25min drive, it could turn into hours, if accidents back-up the traffic on either I-83 or George St. Oh well, I'll figure it out.

After all these stops and starts, we keep coming back to these two hearts... After all we've through... Two angels who've been rescued from The Fall.

I needed to run to Rite Aid to p/u an Rx refill and get some other things, so I left at 9:45a, in the middle of the "Chris Plante Show". I also went to the nearby DIY Carwash, and then over to Sherry's to p/u her for lunch at the legendary Lyndon Diner, in West York. We had a good time catching-up, and I took a new box of Pink Peeps for her, for Easter. Sherry had Vegetable Quesadillas, and I had Crab Cheese Melt & Fries, with an order of 2 Philly Cheese Steaks & Fries, to go home with me. We were both stuffed. So good to see her again.

I got two more calls from Rite Aid, about Rxs which were ready, and stopped on the way home, to pick them up. Finally home by 3p, I had 3 large packages on my porch, and it took quite a while to razor blade them open, remove the beverage case contents and get it all into the garage, and stacked, with all my other stuff. With my last remaining stomach stent still in, and hopefully to come out on March 7th at PSU-Hershey Med Ctr, I'm not supposed to lift more than 10-15 lbs, but these were easily twice that weight, but at least I didn't bust a gut.

I called Becky to check on her at 7p, checked the weather maps at 9p – forecast was changed from 1-2" to a "stray flurry" – so plans change for the two dr's app'ts. I go at regular drive time instead of anticipated traffic problems rate. I watched a few episodes of "American Pickers", listened to a couple selection from my YT Playlists, took my evening Rxs, and crashed at 9:45p.

I've always been a dreamer, and these days I dream a lot, I see the End of Camelot.

I slept-in until 10a on Thursday, turned-up the heat and turned-on the computer, made Kona coffee and checked the weather maps. Damn, 1-3" of snow tonite and tomorrow. I'm going to have to get up ay 5a, to get on the road by 6-6:15a, to make it to Apple Hill Med Ctr. Normally, it's a 20-25min drive, but with snow and other assholes driving at 65-70mph and crashing, traffic becomes a real nightmare.

Two neighbors on the CHCA Executive Board stopped by, and asked me to serve on it, being in-charge of landscaping. We walked around and looked at tree damage from last week's ice and wind storms. I told them I'd think about it, as long as it doesn't involve little "political group" fighting amongst each other, like I experienced in 1995-96, when I was on the Board. While listening to the "Chris Plante Show", 9-12, I heated-up some leftover Lasagna and French Fries, for lunch, and listened to Rush, and the segments of the "Chris Plante Show" that I missed by sleeping late.

Awwwww shit, here we go again, and I've got 2 dr app'ts in early morning, to go to:

The Provider.

A young woman brought her fiancé home to meet her parents. After dinner, her mother told the girl's father to find out about the young man. The father invited the fiancé to his study for a talk."So, what are your plans?" the father asked the young man.

"I am a biblical scholar," he replied.

"A biblical scholar, hmmm?" the father said. "Admirable, but what will you do to provide a nice house for my daughter to live in?"

"I will study," the young man replied, "and God will provide for us."

"And how will you buy her a beautiful engagement ring, such as she deserves?" asked the father.

"I will concentrate on my studies," the young man replied, "God will provide for us."

"And children?" asked the father. "How will you support children?"

"Don't worry, sir, God will provide," replied the fiancé.

The conversation proceeded like this...and each time the father questioned, the young idealist insisted that God would provide.

Later, the mother asked, "How did your talk go, honey?"

The father answered, "He's a Democrat. He has no job, he has no plans, and he thinks I'm God."

Trump Did Not Fail Us; We Failed Trump.

I have deliberately tried not to read the articles and comments of the last couple of days since President Trump’s announcement on the deal to end the government shutdown.

The reason being was the kind of negative comments and wailing that the President had caved and no longer deserved our support. I flatly reject that argument.

None of can truly know the immense pressure the President was under to find a way to end this imbroglio. I, like many, had hoped that the President could tough it out and get the Border Wall Funding that is needed. The truth is the President went further than any one before him on Principle, but at some point it became an issue of diminishing returns politically, and the Democrats refused to bargain in good faith.

The real truth is that President Trump is one man who has been battling not only the Democrats, but his own party that have refused to stand with him, not only on the Border issue but many others as well. What could we the voters who put President Trump in office really expect?

President Trump in two short years has accomplished more than any of us could have realistically expected given the circumstances. A man who was not a professional politician and had come up through the ranks to become President, but one who was a independent outsider that by a fluke won and beat all the professionals, and badly at that.

We have to take note and realize that both political parties are corrupt, in fact they are beyond the Pale kind of corrupt and one man cannot take them on and win without unqualified support. We the voters that put Mr. Trump in office in many ways have failed him, and failed him miserably.

When exactly was the last time that people took to the streets to really protest anything or marched on Washington D.C. to demand any change? There were certainly many protests and such during the Vietnam War as well as Civil Rights Demonstrations in the 1960’s and early 1970’s.

The one time though that I can recall from history that people actually went to Washington D.C. for a real protest was during the early 1930’s. It was during the Depression and it was the Bonus March where veterans of W.W. I came to get the monies they were promised for fighting in W.W. I. Over 43,000 people came and tent cities sprang up all over Washington.

The Army was called out to disperse them, they were under the command of then Chief of Staff Douglas MacArthur , tear gas and guns were used, people died ,and it was a shameful period in out history.

My point in bringing this up is this, at what point do we as Americans, finally decide we have had enough of the corrupt parties in D.C. and finally march on the city and demand our Government do what we elected them to do?

Recently we have seen those in France, The Yellow Vests, do exactly that. The people there were finally pushed to the braking point tax wise and were able to cause a General Strike and for the most part were able to force the Government to it’s knees and they aren’t finished yet as they have been emboldened to press on and try to get other reforms.

The question arises when do we in this country do the same, what is the tripping point here? Will people ever get motivated to come out of their little cocoons, put down their cell phones, get away from the video games, etc. and etc. to demand that government be accountable to them and have our elected officials do what we elect them to do or we will just go along, silently assent and acquiesce?

Because if we aren’t going to so what is necessary to demand our Politicians be accountable then how can we hold President Trump responsible?

President Trump isn’t perfect and we knew that when we elected him, but we also knew he wasn’t a Boy Scout either, he was a New York Street Fighter and that was what was needed. Like or not Donald Trump is the only game in town for us, The Deploreables. If what the Democrats propose and want doesn’t scare you then I don’t know what to tell you.

I will continue to support the President through thick and thin as there is no other alternative for the future of our country and Constitution.

Maybe we won’t get the Border Wall, but it won’t be for lack of trying. President Trump has put it all on the line for us because I think he loves his country, we need to find more ways to support the President.

My dream would be 10 Million of us march on Washington D.C. and demand what we know is right and the politicians be Damned.

The question is what will it take to make us do that?

How Best to Age? Do it Your Way.

I can hit the golf ball any way I can and laugh if it goes in the lake. That's the breaks. I'm just happy I can still hit that golf ball.

As I've aged, I've become kinder to myself, and less critical of myself. I've become my own friend.

I have seen too many dear friends leave this world, too soon; before they understood the great freedom that comes with aging.

When we're kids, we can't wait to grow-up. When we're grown-up and getting older, we just hope time will slow down.

Whose business is it, if I choose to read, or play, on the computer, until 4 AM, or sleep until noon? I will dance with myself to those wonderful tunes of the 50, 60 & 70's, and if I, at the same time, wish to weep over a lost love, I will.

I will walk the beach, in a swim suit that is stretched over a bulging body, and will dive into the waves, with abandon, if I choose to, despite the pitying glances from the jet set. They too, will get old.

I know I am sometimes forgetful. But there again, some of life is just as well forgotten. And, I eventually remember the important things.

Sure, over the years, my heart has been broken. How can your heart not break, when you lose a loved one, or when a child suffers, or even when somebody's beloved pet passes? But, broken hearts are what give us strength, and understanding, and compassion. A heart never broken, is pristine, and sterile, and will never know the joy of being imperfect.

I believe in simple things, like the miracle this day brings.

I am so blessed to have lived long enough to have my hair turning gray, and to have my youthful laughs be forever etched into deep grooves on my face.

So many have never laughed, and so many have died before their hair could turn silver.

As you get older, it is easier to be positive. You care less about what other people think. I don't question myself anymore. I've even earned the right to be wrong.

So, to answer your question, I like being old. It has set me free. I like the person I have become. I am not going to live forever, but while I am still here, I will not waste time lamenting what could have been, or worrying about what will be. And I shall eat dessert every single day (if I feel like it).

Why Do So Many Young People Embrace Socialism?

It’s not youth and inexperience. It’s not even government-run schools and idiotic celebrities. Not primarily.

Why do so many young people embrace socialism?

For the same reason any middle-aged or older person embraces socialism: Anxiety and envy.

By “anxiety” I mean neurotic anxiety, which means a false or exaggerated belief that one will be unable to properly survive or take care of oneself, so that unspecified help is needed to ensure survival.

Envy is often a byproduct of anxiety. If one starts out feeling, “I’m unable to care for myself,” then it’s not a stretch to look at someone else who has more than enough and say, “That’s not fair. He can more than provide for himself, and I’m unable to do so for myself”.

What about the fact that young people have not yet earned much money, and therefore don’t appreciate the value and justice of private ownership, i.e., being able to keep what you earn? Not all young people feel this way. Some young people understand the justice of keeping what you earn. Some do, and change their minds later and become socialists in middle-age.

Regardless, unless you have a significant amount of neurotic fear and/or envy, it’s unlikely socialism would grab your fancy for even five minutes, much less for years (and elections) on end.

It’s true that public schools are teaching the ideology of self-sacrifice and blind service to others (the same premises as Nazism and Communism) as self-evident givens in today’s government-run schools. But these faulty ideas are not new to the present era. Yet in earlier eras, the majority of young people did not turn as socialist as they appear to be doing today.

The more likely contribution of today’s mediocre schools — as well as an increasingly irrational culture — is that young people don’t know how to think. Thinking is your basic tool and precondition of survival. If you feel inadequate to think critically, rationally and objectively, you’ll develop a neurotic and pervasive sense that, “I’m not equipped to survive.” In a land of plenty, particularly, it seems logically appealing when someone comes along and says, “No worries. We’ll pick up your college tuition. And health care. And tons of other things too. You’re entitled to it, after all.” It comes as a relief to the anxiety-ridden souls who embrace socialism.

In older folk, and in some young people born into wealth, there’s the factor of guilt and atonement. That’s a form of anxiety, too. “I’m rich and I don’t deserve to be. It’s not fair.” So it becomes a form of virtue-signaling merged with a psychological tonic to make sure others see you support socialism.

It’s not that most young people are depraved and stupid any more than most older people are totally depraved and stupid. And it’s not just inexperience. It’s fear. And the envy that gets ignited by fear.

It’s truly sad. And yes, it’s dangerous for the future of a free society, but dangerous most of all for those young people who now seek to embrace socialism. It’s not going to end any better for them than it did for anyone else. And if they get their wish, and socialism gets enacted completely, then their fears will quickly become rational.

Scientists Discover New Element – Pelosium.

A major research institution has just announced the discovery of the densest element yet known to science. The new element has been named Pelosium. The chemical symbol of Pelosium is Pu. Pelosium has one neutron, 12 assistant neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 224 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 311. These particles are held together by dark particles called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons.

Pelosium’s mass actually increases over time, as morons randomly interact with various elements in the atmosphere and become assistant deputy neutrons within the Pelosium molecule, leading to the formation of isodopes. This characteristic of moron-promotion leads some scientist to believe that Pelosium is formed whenever morons reach a certain quantity in concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as Critical Morass.

When catalyzed with money, Pelosium activates MSNBCobnoxium and CNNadnausium, both elements that radiate orders of magnitude more energy, albeit as incoherent noise, since they have half as many peons but twice as many morons as Pelosium.

Since it has no electrons, Pelosium is inert. However, it can be detected chemically as it impedes every reaction it comes in contact with. According to the discoverers, a minute amount of Pelosium causes one reaction to take over four days to complete when it would have normally occurred in less than a second. In the presence of anti-morons, Pelosium can be extremely corrosive. Botox seems to distort and smooth it’s surface, without impeding it’s ongoing decay.

Pelosium has a normal half-life of approximately two years, at which time it does not decay, but instead undergoes a transmutation, appearing in a new location but displaying the same properties. In this process, assistant neutrons, vice neutrons and assistant vice neutrons exchange places. Some studies have shown that the atomic mass actually increases after each transmutation.

Research at other laboratories indicates that Pelosium occurs naturally in the atmosphere. It tends to concentrate at certain points such as government agencies, large corporations, universities, and anywhere there is news coverage occurring. It can usually be found in the newest, best appointed, and best maintained buildings.

Scientists point out that Pelosium is known to be toxic at any level of concentration and can easily destroy any productive reaction where it is allowed to accumulate. Attempts are being made to determine how Pelosium can be controlled to prevent irreversible damage, but results to date are not promising.

DemokkkRATs' Wet Dreams.

Rather than deal with Illegal immigrant wave number 2, the Democrats on the Hill engage in wet dreams and socialism.

A 70% tax rate?? This is the proposal that will bring in American votes - Yeah Right.

Government run healthcare "Medicare for all". Yeah Obamacare skyrocketed premiums. So instead lets Tax them to a literal death with European style healthcare.

Abolish the Electoral College so that New York, California, and Illinois rules - the little states be Damned.

100% renewable Energy. Lets just ban gasoline and diesel vehicles like Trucks and Cars, and depend on wind and solar energy for our needs even though they are not dependable nor sufficient.

Ban Guns. Who cares if illegal Aliens come across the border with them. Our Ranchers deserve to die and don't need no stinking 2nd Amendment. For that matter so do US Citizens, they don't need to protect themselves from MS-13, we Democrats will get around to protecting them eventually.

Democrats please engage in some more wet dreams. We are excessively entertained during this Shutdown.

Where's The Chaos?

The government shut down Dec. 21 over Sen. Chuck Schumer and Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi petulantly not wanting Trump to have any border wall funding. The federal government spends $4.4 trillion a year; the $5 billion Trump wanted is one-tenth of 1 percent of that. About the same percent that Elizabeth “Pocahontas” Warren is Native American.

If you are like me, you are more worried about government starting back up than it being shut down.

Who will open our open-air national parks? Who will answer the phones when we call? Who will give us the runaround at the IRS? Who will put us into intractable wars? Who will use the Justice Department to go after political opponents? Who will put us $22 trillion in debt?

Most of NASA is shut down, including the division that we pay to monitor to see if aliens in outer space try to contact us. I trust they put their “Out of Office” message on their email before they went home, in case aliens contact us.

Shouldn’t there be chaos? Why are you not looting Target for a flat-screen TV? Who will let me know when the panda cam is back on at the Washington Zoo?

Two things become clear during a government shutdown: how little we need most of government, and how petulant public servants can be when they do not get their funding. Under Obama, there was much petty government intimidation. Remember how he hired extra people to make sure our open-air national parks were kept shut so citizens could not just walk through them?

Heavy-handed goons run a swollen government monster that intimidates its funders, the taxpayers. It is structurally incapable of spending just a little less than it did the year before and seeks revenge when asked to live within its means. This shutdown teaches us that it is no big deal getting 25 percent of the government out of our lives. Americans will adapt. Let’s shut down most of the government and just hire back any part that we miss.

With historically high employment, I suggest we let about one-third of government employees find real jobs in the real world. You know, jobs that require accountability and productivity. Trump should keep government closed. If you can find it in the Yellow Pages or online, government does not need to be doing it.

Washington and the Deep State hate Trump no matter what he does, even when he does Obama-like things. He has done prison reform, run a huge deficit, is pulling troops out of Syria and Afghanistan, etc. If Trump doesn’t stop acting like Obama, he might ask to see his own birth certificate.

Since the Democrats won the House, the stock market has cratered. The Dems want to investigate, not legislate. House Speaker Paul Ryan has ceded power and decided to let someone else not get anything done.

Schumer, Pelosi and fellow libs run our overreaching, ineffective and expensive government. Should we be happy when government is back? It feels to me like my niece got back together with an abusive husband when that happens.

Trump made an unannounced trip to Iraq over Christmas. With Mueller on his tail and Democrats spending inordinate time wanting to use the blunt force of the federal judiciary to investigate him further, Trump stands as the only president to go to a war-torn area for peace and quiet.

Government shutdowns have become a well-worn path of a dysfunctional Washington. It is like Schumer and Pelosi are walking the marble halls of the Capitol and 20 feet ahead of them they see a banana peel. They both say, “Here we go again.”

The government shutdown over border wall funding is petulant politics at its best. Government means more to Democrats like Schumer and Pelosi because it is their lives. There is no easy off ramp for either side on this standoff. Now it is a waiting game to see who blinks first. And Nancy Pelosi has had so much work done on her face that she can’t blink anymore. So expect her to not rest until she fully embarrasses Trump (a particularly hard man to embarrass) or she captures all 101 Dalmatians.

When the federal government was not working, Trump probably called Tech Support in India to get advice. He told the guy government isn’t working, and the Tech Support guy said, “Just try turning it off for a while, then back on and see if that does the trick.”

The Fake News Media Doesn’t Even Put Up A Pretense Anymore.

All fake news, all the time. If you still do not believe that our national media establishment is 100% in the pocket of the Democrat Party and coordinates messaging with that political party on a daily basis, consider the following story.

We are now in Day 9 of a partial “government shutdown” that exists over the issue of illegal immigration. Early this week, in the midst of this “government shutdown,” a California law enforcement officer was murdered by an illegal alien who he was attempting to arrest for what would have been the illegal’s THIRD DUI crime. Yes, that’s right: thanks to California’s sanctuary laws, this illegal had already been arrested for and convicted of two DUIs, has known gang affiliation, and despite all of that had been allowed to just get out of jail and roam free on the state’s highways to put more lives in danger.

Anyway, that murder took place four days ago now, and in all that time, not one Democrat officeholder has been asked by one intrepid “journalist” to comment on the situation. Think about that: California has 53 members of the house and 2 U.S. senators, and not one of them has had to field a single question about how they can continue to support open borders and sanctuary laws when their state’s police officers and citizens are being murdered by illegal aliens.

The reason why is obvious: The media and the Democrats are coordinating on a narrative, and that narrative dictates that only Republicans must field difficult questions about illegal immigration. Any “journalist” who violates the narrative runs the risk of being dis-invited from all the best dinner parties. This is not complicated, folks.

Speaking of fake news... – two other fake news stories dominated the fake media this week, and boy, were they doozies.

First, you had the “bone spurs” story. This story, which we’ve heard many, many times before, made a comeback this week, with “new” information. That “new” information came in the form of the two daughters of the doctor who treated Donald Trump for bone spurs in 1968 claiming that her father – who is conveniently dead – told them that he faked the diagnosis on orders from Trump’s father Fred Trump, so that Donald Trump could avoid the military draft in effect at the time.

1968 is half a century ago, for those who are chronologically challenged.

So, first of all, who cares? Other than a bunch of pedantic Millenial soy boys and valley girls staffing the fake reporter desks at CNN and MSNBC, that is.

Second of all, why should we believe these two women? In all seriousness – there is literally no reason at all to believe they are anything other than liberal attention-seekers. They bring with them zero supporting evidence – no documentation, no statements from their father or any other doctor. No media outlet would have dreamed of going forward with this story were it leveled at a Democrat president, yet every media outlet in America has parroted the claim this week.

Third of all, who cares? Yes, that deserves repeating.

The next big fake story of the week came from the pathetic McClatchy News Service, which updated its claim from earlier this year that ex-Trump lawyer Michael Cohen had visited Prague during the 2016 campaign to hold secret meetings with Russian agents. This story has been debunked more times than the one about the moon landings being faked, but that didn’t stop McClatchy running with an update claiming that...

“A mobile phone traced to President Donald Trump’s former lawyer and “fixer” Michael Cohen briefly sent signals ricocheting off cell towers in the Prague area in late summer 2016, at the height of the presidential campaign, leaving an electronic record to support claims that Cohen met secretly there with Russian officials, four people with knowledge of the matter say.”

Those “four people with knowledge of the matter”? They are not merely anonymous sources – they are anonymous sources being quoted by other anonymous sources, as Brit Hume so ably pointed out:

Brit Hume? @brithume It turns out that the new McClatchy story on Michael Cohen in Prague is not based on intel their sources saw but what their sources’ sources said they saw. The story remains exclusive. (https://dailycaller.com/2018/12/28/michael-cohen-prague-mcclatchy/)

Michael Cohen Report Is Based On Third-Hand Information, Reporter Reveals McClatchy reporters did not see Cohen intelligence for themselves.

(dailycaller.com) 3,741 people are talking about this Twitter Ads info and privacy The reason why McClatchy’s story remains “exclusive” is that it is so obviously faked that none of the other fake media outlets want to touch it.

This is the sort of nonsense your OUR President has to put up with on a daily basis. It is intentional, it is relentless and it is unending.

The lowlife filth at AP clearly demonstrated their fake plan and hatred for Conservatives in the obit for Bre Payton, a conservative writer at The Federalist and frequent guest on television news outlets including Fox News Channel. AP is filth.
