The excruciatingly-painful, badly-pinched sciatic nerve torture session, continues. After seeing my family doctor (Dr McKeague, MD), getting some pain meds and a quick referral to a well-known orthopedic surgeon (Dr Cohen) this past Tuesday, I had X-rays taken, was given oral steroids (methylprednisolone) and more pain meds, and rescheduled for a CAT-scan and MRI on June 1st. He thinks there "might be" some minor disc damage leading to the sciatic nerve problems. All from unloading nursery stock from a truck in the pouring rain, on a late friday evening Yikes! So far, the methylprednisolone is making a huge difference and improvement. Updates to come.
Gas prices are now up to $2.0/ gal for unleaded premium, in the York (PA), as of Sunday, Mother's Day. Much more to come, IMO. How do you feel about $3.00/gal by September? We'll see.
Officially, 7-8" of rain and another inch of hail hit the York (PA) area Sunday evening and Monday morning, and lasted for hours. On Monday morning, I had to take several detours to work, as numerous trees and power wires were down, and some main roads and bridges had washed out. PennDot has been very busy, lately. It's about time they earned their gov't paychecks.
