i was walking through a local supermarket, last weekend, shopping for the things I needed to do a nice Easter Dinner, for Mom, Dad, Becky, Stacy & Dave on Sunday. I had 9-12 items on my "list" to get, in addition to the 9lb Heavenly Ham®, which I'd already picked-up at 4:50pm, the day before at the local HH® Store. It was one of those 'giant food stores', which take 1-2mins, to re-flex the eyeballs and brain, and simply take stock of what you're looking for. Nothing on the order of a Wegman's, but then, little else is, really. This is the one I shop at, and it's a "religious experience", each time I go into that place. But, I digress. I'm not talking about them. When I parked at the middling 3ac lot, I was hit with the smells and sounds of ballpark hotdog ($2.75) vendors, at Comisky Park, Wrigley Field, Yankee Stadium, Giants Stadium etc. Remember those 30oz draft beers ($4.75), salted/peanuts-in-the-shell or shelled/salted, cheeseburgers, Coke®, Pepsi®, Hamm's® Beer, Meister Brau® Beer, Pabst Blue Ribbon® Beer and Falstaff® Beer, soft and hard pretzels, cotton candy, soda ($1.00) and Cracker Jack®? The memories are seemingly-endless. But this store's "olfactory smells" perfectly-imitated all the ballparks, sans sights and sounds, and more than made-up for it all, with even more concentrated smells. I wound-up buying a package of franks, rolls, and zero condiments, as I already had them, and then some. Ketchup, various mustards, chili, cheese, pickle relish, mayonaise (Hellman's®), high-end horseradish, sweet or Kosher dill pickles, A-1® Steak Sauce, a warm soft pretzel, Tabasco® Sauce; what else did I need, then? I got all the stuff I needed for Easter Sunday Dinner, and went back to work, microwaved the hotdog, toasted the bun, slathered it with "a bit of everything", and wound-up eating 3 of them. Mmmmmmm, memories of by-gone days. A cold, 30oz beer would have been nice to wash it all down with, but I don't keep any liquor or beer at work, and never, ever drink and drive. Never. A glass of cold, whole milk did the trick, very nicely. Mmmmmmmmmemories.

Around The Garden Center™.
"It may be two weeks into spring, but it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas". The damage from snow showers, frost and cold temps, continues, on plants which are living outside. The snow showers aren't an issue a problem, so far; frost and cold, are. Anything installed in the landscape within the previous 2+ years, can easily withstand and survive the weirdly-predictable weather, but newer additions, and those moved outside, in containers, are subject to *damage*. My unique 5-year Warranty, doesn't cover Acts of Nature, as it doesn't cover Acts of Mankind. Those are beyond my control, and only an idiot would warranty against such things. If any business did, it'd go bankrupt in under a year. On Good Friday, I sent my LSCP Foreman to buy 20ft x 20ft plastic tarps, so we could tarp many of the trees in-leaf, which we could fit into the GHs, for shelter, until Tuesday, when the frosty nights are supposed to cease. The damage could have been catastrophic, if we hadn't gotten the tender plants under cover. As it was, we did suffer some damage, but Mother Nature will repair that damage, in due time. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. It's still Winter; Spring isn't here, just yet.
The roads were almost empty, when I drove into work, on Good Friday, last week. Seemed like 90% of the world was taking a 3-day weekend, and my company was one of the very few who was working that day. 31°:F and a brisk wind made it feel like 19°F. So much for Spring. I decided to close all of Easter Weekend, and go on Spring Hours, this Monday. We had a good bit of "snow shower activity" on Friday afternoon/evening, into Saturday morning, and it stuck to the lawn areas, but melted on hard surfaces. Temps dropped into the low-20s on Friday evening, with Winter reminding everyone — especially all the idiots in t-shits, short and tennis shoes — that it was still around. Putzes! A Spring Storm, which just missed us? Ha! All hail, The Farmer's Almanac! Once again, they're 95%+ right. The weathermen/women are averaging >45%, even with their multi-million-dollar computer models. BS; what do you think The Farmer's Almanac, uses? Ha. It sure isn't a wetted-finger, in-the-wind.
I hope you and yours had a Blessed & Happy Easter, as I did. Having my Parents and Sister together with me, once again, for Easter Dinner, was great. Mom's knee replacement surgery was übersuccessful, as she's doing just fine in PT (physical therapy) at home, and I'm hoping that in the coming months, she'll be able to again come down to the GC&N Complex, to visit once-in-a-while.
I slept-in until 11:30am, on Saturday, made a leisurely brunch, ande went out to get some additional food for Sunday's easter Dinner, after dad called, and told me that we'd be having 2 additional guests, for Sunday's Easter Dinner. It was snowing, as snow squalls were moving through the York (PA) area, all day long. I'd only gotten enough food for 4 of us, but had plenty of vino freom my 200 bottle wine racks. (I sure do miss my 1,000 bottle basement wine cellar, back at my condo in NJ.) So, I spent Saturday shopping and cooking, for Sunday's Easter Dinner: making a brown sugar glaze, a tangerine-orange glaze, peas and pearl onions, baby carrots & baby corn, baby brussel sprouts, fresh asparagus, fresh Hollandaise Sauce, sweet potatoes, and of course, the pre-cooked, spiral-cut Heavenly Ham®. I made a tangerine glaze for it, from scratch. Worrying about where I'd store all this food overnight, since my 'fridge and freezer were already full, I backed the 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee up to the garage door, outside, and stored all the food in the back cargo bay, which was colder than my 'fridge. Nice.
After 9,144 hrs, my 1990 John Deere 675B SkidLoader-Backhoe, broke a pin in its lifting boom. This is the most major breakdown/repair we've had in the past 17yrs, which is quite an accomplishment for a piece of equipment, used as often and as hard as that machine has been. My new John Deere 317 SkidLoader, has now fully-replaced it as the heavy-duty worked for my business. Thankfully, the new JD-317 quickly stepped-in and got the pending work done, without breathing hard.
The Spring-Summer-Fall Hours sign, on the front gate chain went up on Monday, and we've been doing 'staff prep' for the past several days to get ready for our 17th Annual Open House, tomorrow, Saturday April 14th, from 8-5 (we're again open on Sundays, from 12-5pm). Hopefully, you'll be able to join us for the Open House. (((sigh))) No more sleeping-in on Saturdays and Sundays, or the enjoyable, truncated Winter Hours — Monday-Saturday, 10-3; Closed Sunday — until December, or whenever we lose the weather.
We will be closing on Sunday, in the sweltering July and August Summer months, maybe even in June, and I'm thinking about closing on Sundays permanently, in 2008. I need a day off, during the week. It's either that, or have Jennifer, my Horticulturalist, run the place for 2 weekdays, while I take off and relax. After 16yrs of 7 days-a-week, 9 months a year, I just can't do it anymore. I'm physically and mentally, tired. In the *early years* ('90-'95), I worked 17hr+ (6am-11pm) days, six days a week, and 12-7 on Sundays. There were times I stayed at the GC&N Complex, for 1-2-3 days at a time, prior to having my 2 condo cats, Murphy and Mama Kitty. Their upkeep/maintenance alone, demands I be back by 5pm, for their afternoon/evening feedings. Or they'll kill and eat me. If they were larger than me, they would have already done so.
35°F and snow squalls moved through the area, almost all day, on Monday. It was cold: 31°F with a brisk wind, making the windchill aroun 19°F. Nothing was sticking, but it was nice to see all the flurries coming down. I'm still putting 40lbs of birdseed a week, for all the thousands of nesting pairs I have on this 20ac property, and they're appreciative. At least they don't crap all over my Jeep, anymore.
Hundreds of local peach/apple orchards, and strawberry farms in the Northeast were hit with destructive frost/ice/snow and will have meager crops, if any, come Summer, when the stone fruit needs to be picked and rushed to markets, for sale. This has happened to them many times during my 17yrs in the ag/hort business, and they always seem to recover from it. That's just one of the many hazards in the industry and business.
By Wednesday, a huge snow/ice/rain storm in the Midwest had pushed east, and thankfully-drenched us, after 2+ weeks of zero moisture. We got 1½". The snow stayed way north of us, and temps were up into the 40s. Our 3½ miles of drip irrigation is back in-place, and running daily, but we'll give it a 1-2 day break, with the rain's arrival. Ditto, for the overhead sprinkler system in the Main Retail Area. I have an uneasy feeling that we're in for a long, dry and hot Summer. Global warming? Not a chance.
The price of gas is up 18¢ in the past two weeks, at the pumps. Unleaded Regular is now at $2.75/gal; Unleaded Plus is at $2.85/gal, and Unleaded Premium is now at $2.99/gal. I've lost track of Kerosene (K-1) and Diesel fuels, but they'll be at/over $3.00/gal by Summer.

Things Which Make Your Head Explode™.
Unemployment is at a 5-year low, 4.4%, and the MSM/OTM have a real problem with that. Boo-fricking-hoo!
Crisp salute, to all who've served in Iraq an Afghanistan.
The Commonwealth Communist-wealth Of Pennsylvania is about to become a turd-world hellhole, by requiring that all 3 million PA firearm owners re-register all of their weapons, each year, in violation of the US Constitution's Second Amendment. House Bill 760, is co-sponsored by lowlife, subhuman, dirtbag, commie-liberal-demokkkRAT filth: Reps Lisa Bennington, D-Allegheny; Angel Cruz, D-Philadelphia; Lawrence H. Curry, D-Montgomery and Philadelphia; Cherelle L. Parker, D-Philadelphia; Jake Wheatley, D-Allegheny; and Rosita C. Youngblood, D-Philadelphia. All six of those pieces-of-shit, should be duly charged, tried, convicted and imprisoned, for sedition, treason and for violating the Second Amendment, IMO.
1,150 jobs are being lost at the Hershey Chocolate plants in Hershey, PA, and the lardass, bloated, criminal, and all the corrupt governor, "Fat Eddie" Rendell (CRIMINAL-PA) can do is piss and moan, claiming he knew nothing about it. Lying son-of-a-bitch! He knew a year ago, that they were going to that turd-world hellhole, Mexico. I'll never buy another Hershey's product, ever again, dammit! Never.

Global Warming™ Bullshit & Lies.
If you want ***The Truth About Global Warming***, watch this 1hr:16min film by the BBC — The Great Global Warming Swindle — about what's really happening. The leftist, lying, verminous cowards at YouTube, have banned the film, and the idiotic, leftist-turdbags have picked it up. I have it on DVD, and will upload it to my corporate server, for all to see, when Google drops it, due to pressure from the wacko, leftist, subhuman, commie, enviro-filth. I won't allow this truth to die or disappear. Watch it, dammit!

Nappy-Headed, Nigga® Stripper Ho.
I told you this last year (scroll down to "Durham Dirtbag"): the whole "rape" charge etc, was complete and total bullshit and lies, from a subhuman Nigga® slut-skank against white men, who did nothing to the "nappy-headed Nigga® ho", and that they'd be cleared. The "Durham Dirtbag Nigga®" needs execution, IMO.
The Duke LAX Players, are finally cleared — of a dumbass, subhuman Nigga® stripper-skank's lies — and I sure hope that subhuman piece-of-shit Nigga® goes to her death, along with the criminal, lying, cowardly, pandering, white trash piece-of-shit, DA Nifong. Nifong needs to be tried and executed, IMO, as does the Nigga® stripper bitch filth. Hang them both!
The criminal niggers®, criminal Jesse "Extortionist" Jack-scumbag and criminal Al "Racist, Bigot" Sharp-scumbag, came running to spin and lie about the breaking story, that the whites had been finally vindicated from the lying, subhuman, bitch skank, Crystal Gail Mangum's lies. They're both truly subhuman, lowlife, garbage NIGGERS®, in every sense of the word, not blacks. To call them 'Black Americans', is a slander against every real, true Black American, IMO. Both Jack-scumbag and Sharp-scumbag need trial and prison/execution, IMO. They're subhuman filth, as is the Nigga® stripper bitch, who also needs trial/prison/execution.
The "Durham Dirtbag" — Crystal Gail Mangum — is a mentally-ill, drug-addicted, alcoholic, subhuman, lowlife piece-of-shit Nigga® loser, IMO. She needs execution. To waste time, money and drugs in trying to rehab the filthy whore, is a losing proposition; kill her and cleanse the earth of that subhuman garbage! Ho needs killing!
To fully-understand what's happening here, behind-the-scenes, with the Duke LAX Rape Case, Imus' slur about the Rutger's girls' basketball team, you need to read Neal Boortz' analysis of it. It's all about liberal filth vs Talk Radio.

Lowlife, Subhuman Filth™.
"Nappy-headed hos" is offensive, when describing the ugly, skanky filth bitches, on the Rutger's girls' basketball team? Not to me, it isn't; it's 100% accurate. Although I despise the loudmouthed, lowlife scumbag, WFAN and pMSNBC asshole, Don "Anus" Imus, his right to "free speech" is constitutionally-protected. "Nappy-headed" Al Sharp-scumbag is a known criminal, race pimp and a true nigger®, IMO. He should have been put into prison, and quickly-executed for incitement to riot and accessory to 1st-degree murder, years ago, in the riots in NYC — Freddy's Fashion Mart — that name ring a bell with anyone? Al Sharp-scumbag is lowlife, subhuman filth, and it should have been executed, years ago, IMO. Where's James Earl Ray when the country really needs him? WTF are you apologizing for, Anus-Imus? For the nigger's®pathetic, lowlife Culture of Bitches, Hos and Niggas? The lowlife, PC-filth quickly came crawling out from under their slimy rocks: WP's Michael Wilbon, CBS's Bruce Gordon and pMSNBC's weather-Nigga®, Fat Al Roker; all three racist, bigoted, nappy-headed asshole Niggas®, themselves.
I've said it for years: anyone winning any lottery, is in for misery, trouble and problems, which will dwarf his/her previous problems, and I've always been right about that. 99% of the lottery winners are life's losers — lowlifes and scumbags who aren't qualified to breathe O2 — like this asshole, Jack Whittaker, who blames his idiotic, alcoholic, moronic behavior on the millions of dollars he'd won. He was an asshiole before he won, and is still an asshole, after winning $315 million. Hey, Jack: eat shit, and die, asshole! I have no sympathy for scum like him, and there are plenty of those lowlife, dirtbags, out there, after winning a lottery. I've read the stories, and they all blame it on the 'money', when in fact, they're the losers, scumbags and lowlifes whose pathetic lives and problems are merely magnified, because of the winnings. Tough shit, assholes, all of you.
Rudy Giuliani, "the 9-11 hero", is basing his campaign is his reputation as "America’s Mayor" from 9-11, his record as Gotham’s most successful chief executive and — most promisingly from a free market perspective — as an advocate of supply-side economics, which endorses tax cuts to boost economic growth. "the 9-11 hero"? I don't freaking think so! Giuliani's a liberal, left-wing, wacko liberal-demokkkRAT RINO, masquerading as a piece-of-shit, Republican, and certainly not a Conservative. Rudy's dogshit, IMO.
Get these "demanding", subhuman, lowlife, criminal, illegal alien filth, out of my country, dammit! Round them up, put them in desert camps until they are deported, and deport them! Shoot and kill them if you have to; I don't f*cking care. They're illegal, criminal spic garbage/shit/trash/scum and need to be gotten rid of, dammit! Close the damned borders, Mr Bush, and do what you've sworn an oath to do, dammit. It's no wonder that I fully-support your impeachemnt on this issue, alone.
The fat, bloated, waddling, sweathog, pig-humper, Elizabeth Edwards, mentally-ill, dirtbag bitch of loser, failed, dirtbag, lowlife, "faggot", disgeraced, run-out-of-office, ambulance-chaser, subhuman lawyer, ex US Sen Johnnie "Breck Girl" Edwards (LOWLIFE-NC), doesn't want her kids going near "her gun-toting Republican RINO neighbor". Edwards is truly a homo-sodomite; his fat, ugly pig-wifey is a political front, and a laughable joke; both are steaming piles of fetid dogshit. True crap/shit/junk/garbage/white-trash, IMO.
If you or I needed any further reason to spit/piss/shit on the subhuman homo-sodomite filth at Walt Disney Co, this is it. Same-sex couples faggots and lesbo filth, who want to exchange vows in front of Cinderella's Castle now have the chance. The Walt Disney Co, had limited its Fairy Tale Wedding program to couples with valid marriage licenses, but it is now making ceremonies at its parks available to gay couples as well. Say what?
No, I don't have any animosity or hatred toward gays homo-sodomite-faggots, if they keep their perverted, demented, deviant agenda behind their own, locked doors at home, but when they try to infect the rest of America with such subhuman filth, I have a real big problem with that shit! Make no mistake about it.
I have a to both laugh and cringe at the same time, when I read crap like this, from deviant, subhuman, lowlife, perverted, degenerate, homo-sodomite-faggots, who think *they are mainstream* and we normal heterosexual people, are merely *breeders*. They're subhuman filth!
FedEx settles a 'nuisance' racial discrimination suit for $53.5 million? (Covered by their insurance company, BTW.) Unqualified, lowlife, dirtbag, subhuman garbage, Niggas® and spics sued Fedex, because they were passed-over for promotion and raises? It's total, complete and utter Bull-f*cking-shit, IMO! I'll never use or allow a shipper to use FeDEx to ship to me, ever again. Never.
A stone-faced Snoop Dogg pleaded no contest to felony gun and drug charges, on Wednesday, avoiding what could have been a years-long prison sentence. The 35-year-old rapper, born Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr., agreed to five years' probation and 800 hours of community service. He faced charges of gun possession by a felon and sale or transportation of marijuana.

Some People Just Need Killing™.
In every culture, in every population, in every people, there are some lowlife, subhuman filth, "Who Just Need Killing". This is a short compendium of some recent subhumans, who truly do need killing.
Five men — all registered sex offenders convicted of abusing/molesting children — live along the Miami's Julia Tuttle Causeway, because there is a housing shortage for Miami's least welcome residents. Huh? Kill them for child abuse, and end the problem. I'd volunteer to headshoot all of them, and all child molesters/rapists/murderers, nationwide, at no charge to American Taxpayers, BTW.
An illegal alien suspected of causing a traffic accident and killing movie director Bob Clark, whose "A Christmas Story" has come alongside "It's a Wonderful Life" and "Miracle on 34th Street" as a perennial holiday must-watch, has been placed under an immigration hold by federal authorities. The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency placed the hold on Hector Velazquez-Nava, 24, a Mexican national who was living in Los Angeles as an illegal immigrant, according to a report from Americans for Legal Immigration Political Action Committee. Kill the spic. Between 12-25 American Citizens are killed/murdered everyday, by criminal, illegal alien spic filth.

Great Firewall of China.
One of the world's longest man-made structures, the Great Wall of China stands as a global wonder and a testament to China's resourcefulness and wariness of outsiders. Now, a very different man-made structure is attempting to "protect" and curtail the citizens of that vast Asian country. According to the watchdog group behind this site, 30,000 civil workers labor on a firewall that monitors and blocks web sites deemed "undesireable" by the Chinese government. Now, you can now probe that firewall's strength and consistency. Visit the test page and see how sites like YouTube, MetaFilter, Google, The Onion, CNN.com, NYTimes.com, and Yahoo! fare at the hands of the censors. Though the fate of Tibet.com saddened us, it didn't surprise us. But the number of times Wikipedia has been able to pass through the firewall's gates gave us a shock. The count so far? Never.
