it's gotten to the point where I'm now fully sick-to-death of election year politics, and it started sometime last year. It didn't take me very long; I must be getting old(er). I quickly noticed myself yelling at my streaming computer stations' unending political ad streams – no, I don't watch TV; some CATV, but I always mute the commercials – and occasionally reaching for my Kimber® 1911 "Eclipse Target II" .45cal ACP sidearm, to shoot the computer and put it out of my misery. But I refrained, as the resultant electronic mess would probably draw fruit flies. Heh.
I just can't stand the unending stream of lies, bullcrap and hypocrisy anymore, coming from The White Crib's Liar-In-Chief, president Barry ∅bummer-Soetero Jr (SOCIOPATH-IL), who can calmly spew 7 lies in under 2 minutes, without breaking stride or a sweat. I take them all with a warm bucket of spit. With Barry Hussein ∅bummer-Soetero Jr's (RACIST-IL) now record 16 multi-million dollar vacations, 90+ rounds of golf and 100+ fundraisers in just 3 years, and a worthless, do-nothing, lazy liberal-demokkkRAT-controlled US Senate, and GOPer/RINOs making matters even worse by their sheer idiocy, stupidity and their own brand of national treason, it's no wonder I'm sick-to-death of it all.

A Day In The Life
Friday arrived quicker than I hoped. Murphy had me up at 4am to water/feed him, so I went thru last night's and this morning's email, checked/tested the just re-installed "trusty old" HP 1660 DeskJet Printer's drivers. (I order only the XL refills which last 10x longer.) I decided to go back to sleep, after a brief email exchange with Ben, a Friend in Texas, which had me chuckling. I don't always get days when I can grab some extra shuteye, so I took it.
Back-up at 7:30am, I made Fresh-Squeezed OJ w/ lots of pulp, an Egg Omlet & Home Fries and French-Roast, Turkish-Grind Coffee (from whole, freshly-ground beans) with my Chemex® Drip System. More errands to do. Sigh. I don't know how I got all of them done when I was working 15-18hrs/day, 7days/week, for the past 21+ years. UPS delivered a 24-lb freezer box of my now semi-annual

Dad called and needed me for Mom's care on Monday & Thursday mornings, so I changed all of my conflicting pre-existing appointments, except for my Dr's app't on Thursday morning, and rearranged them to a later time or day. I left the Condo at 1:15pm for my 2pm meeting, and barely made it. It's a 14.2 mile trips and every year it gets 5-7 minutes longer due to more traffic and new stoplights on the route. Damn, my AC crapped-out on the way, so I called S&D Automotive in York, and left a message for an appointment call-back on Monday. 80°F-plus weather is on the way, after tonite/tomorrow's t-storms, and my AC takes a crap. Figures. The meeting was over by 4pm, and I stopped at a old friend/neighbor's home, who lives across the road from the Complex, and visited for a while. I got home by 5pm, took care of feeding/water Murphy, grabbed a quick Roast Beef Sandwich & Fries Smothered in Gravy dinner, buttoned-up the Condo for the approaching storms, while the
Another lousy night's sleep. The thunder & lightening woke me at 12:50am and the torrential downpour and wind did the same at 3:30am, so I got up for good, fed/watered Murphy, made Sunnyside-up Eggs, Home Fries & Yellow Saffon Gravy for breakfast, had French-Roast, Turkish-Grind Coffee, and scanned the various NWS-NOAA weather sites, to see what was ahead. By then, it was 5:15am and I decided to stay-up, get some laundry and other chores done, and do my usual food shopping at Weis, at 7am. The storm's aftermath-light rain continued all morning, thankfully. I left at 6:45am in a warm, 45°F rain. Down 25-30" of rainfall since January, we're greatly-in-need of serious ground moisture. I'm sure glad that I'm no longer in the horticulture-garden center/nursery business, as many plants will be dying this Spring-Summer-Fall, from the lack of water and resultant stress. "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn, anymore".
After food shopping, I went to visit Mom & Dad for a while, Becky called from SF and we talked, she confirmed her Thursday arrival for 2 weeks, and I had to get back to do laundry, pay bills etc, since I'll be staying with Mom on Monday while Dad is out running some errands. I'll also be there Thursday morning until I have to leave for a Dr's app't in Southern York County. I made a triple-decker Egg & Olive Salad Sandwich, some unbelievably-amazing Pistachio Gelato for lunch, did some outdoor Condo weed-spraying, and skipped dinner. By 8pm, I'd had enough and shut it all down. Murphy was already waiting.
Awake at 5:30am on Monday, I watered & fed Murphy, made Breakfast and coffee, changed Murphy's cat high-sided pan litter boxes, got the garbage ready for take-out to the curb tonite, and prepped myself for an 85-87°F day. I was at Mom & Dad's from 8:45am to 2:30pm, watching over Mom while Dad had some time-off, read several chapters of "Common Sense" by Glenn Beck, and did some sorting, grading, pruning and clean-up on some containerized perennial plant material I'd given them before I closed the GC&N Complex, and 90% made it overwintering in their 4-car garages. I'll get it planted-out for them this weekend, when Becky's here. It was 89°F when I left for home, and the fresh (but humid) air felt good, with all the windows down and no AC. After last Thursday's haircut, my old straw Scala Outback Hat is again fitting just fine, but is now falling apart due to age, so I ordered a new Stetson Outback Hat model, same as I had 4 years ago. I am hard on hats, especially straw hats, and they ain't cheap. I had some fresh-made CrabCakes, Noodle Soup & Dumplings and several tall glasses of Ocean Spray® Diet Blueberry-Pomegranate Juice. After feeding & watering Murphy, I listened to the Mark Levin Show from 6-9pm, and called it a day at 9:30pm.

My 2 cleaning ladies were in at 10am, while I was out at a meeting and after they finished, I made a Grilled Cheese w/Ham Sandwich & Potato Salad and Tomato Soup, for lunch.
I went out for a scheduled 1:30pm Jeep service appointment and stopped at Sheetz® York Gas Station to get my 80 Weis® Markets Card gas points redeemed (-80¢/gal), and paid $3.19/gal for 16.724gal (20gal tank), for a total of $53.50; like going 8-10 months back in time, before the criminal lowlife 0bummer&Co drove-up gas prices to current levels. Dave, Stacey's husband at S&D Automotive, put a dye tracer thru my Jeep's AC system, recharged it with Freon (or whatever coolant gas de jour is sued these days) and it's working fine again. I was hoping it was a blown fuse for the compressor, but it wasn't. If it's the evaporator or they have to trace for the leak, it'll cost many hundreds to fix, and frankly the loaded, 148k mile 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee 'Laredo' (KBB $5,547) isn't worth pouring another thousand-plus into. Time to start looking for another SUV. I really want a GMC/Chevy Suburban, but since they took the "Gov't Cheese" bailout, I wouldn't touch one. Ditto for a new $50k Jeep SRT8 Model; Chrysler also took the "Gov't Cheese". Time to maybe start looking at a Toyota Land Cruiser. But I can't justify the $85k+ for it; even a used LC is $55k+. Dilemma to work on. After feeding & watering Murphy, I listened to the Mark Levin Show from 6-9pm, and very tired, called it another day.
Wednesday was a much cooler and rainy day, thankfully. I was awake and up at 4am to take care of Murphy, grab a shower and decided to make Fresh-Squeezed OJ, a heaping plate of Sunny-Side-Up Eggs, Bacon, Rice & Fresh Sweet Peas and coffee for breakfast. I left at 8:15 to get to my 9am meeting, sold $2,600+ in B&B field nursery stock to Hellam Township for their new building and property, endured the cold, rain and mud with Brett & Marty from HT, and got home to my new Stetson á la "Justified", from The Village Hat Co, for whom I'd just written a product review. They liked it so much that they gave me a 10% Off Coupon on my next purchase. Nice. After feeding/watering Murphy, I did the requisite "bill-of-sale/purchase" paperwork for Hellam Twp, and quickly-delivered it to their offices, so they could get a check cut and complete the bill-of-sale/purchase before the GC&N was sold over the upcoming weekend. I like and prefer things to be legal and proper. Okay, check that off my "to-do list". On the way home, I stopped at Giant Food Supermarket in Red Lion (PA) and bought 6pts of low-cal, but very, very rich Ciao Bella® Gelato: Pistachio, Blackberry Cabernet, Key Lime Graham, Coffee, Triple Espresso and Tahitian Vanilla. Find a store near you and enjoy some. With a fraction of ice cream's calories and a rich, creamy flavor like you've never had before, you'll be amazed. No, I don't own any stock in the company. Wish I did; wish I was one of their distributors.
I really wanted to go to "The Cabin" this weekend, but with so much going on here, I had no real choice but to stay in York. Next weekend, I'm going up there to get my head "cleared-out", regardless.
It started raining again around 5pm, temps dropped into the low-50s, so I cranked-up the heat and made some CrabCakes w/ Fresh Hollandaise Sauce, Grilled Red Onions and a Garden Bean Salad, with Ocean Spray® Diet Cranberry-Pomegranate Juice. Murphy had me up at 4am for his usual early-morning watering/feeding, and I stayed-up, since I had to be over at Mom & Dad's by 8:15am, until Dad got back with Becky from HIA (Harrisburg Int'l Airport). I made Fresh-Squeezed OJ, Grits w/ Butter & Sea Salt, Country Sausage, Rye Bread Toast w/ Keller's® Butter and coffee. I stayed with Mom until Dad & Becky arrived, went to my Dr's app't at 11:30 in Shrewsbury, and then over to Freedom Armory for a large .225cal/5,56mm NATO ammo purchase, and finally home by 1pm. By now, it was 74°F and climbing; my AC worked but the fresh air felt nice, whistling through my new Stetson. Lots of traveling; lots of miles covered. Precious cargo for the ever-growing stockpile.
Crap; the previously-I-thought-were-fixed HP DeskJet 1660 Printer problerms have reoccurred, and I spent the afternoon uninstalling 8 HP Apps, reinstalling updated 2012 HP Apps & Drivers. I made a Bacon Cheeseburger w/ Home Fries, had some Redskin Potato Salad w/ Bacon I'd made on Tuesday, and finally got the printer working again. By the time the Mark Levin Show came on from 6-9pm EST, I was tired and made it to 9:15, but shut it all down. Tomorrow's another day.
