I finally decided to upgrade to a better digital camera; my 3 year old Kodak K25 ($315) just ain't cutting it anymore in taking the quality resolution pics I need for my corporate website. Depth perception and pixel color are noticeably missing, as compared to what's available today. I'm now on a mission to upgrade.
Out tax dollars at work: the idiots at the Norfolk Naval Shipyards, which builds billions and billions of dollars of US Navy ships, is spending almost $22,000 — hiring "wildlife experts" from the US Dept of Agriculture — to rid the yards of feral (wild) cats. But a local woman has been spending her own money, and that of an organization she's set up, to care for the cats, so there's no need to waste taxpayers monies on such a stupid effort. I sent her $100 to help defray costs and care for the felines.
Over the years, we've done a lot of community service work for Central Pennsylvania, specifically the York County area. This Summer, we donated thousands of dollars of trees to the Borough of New Freedom to enhance the Heritage Rail Trail (bicycling and hiking trails) as well as the Borough Facilities & Parks, to the New Freedom Garden Club to also beautify the trails for bikers and hikers, to York Vo-Tech School to assist their students in the study of horticulture and donating used computers, faxes and copy machines to the Stewartstown Historical Society offices. We're always glad to lend a hand.
It's almost September and that means one thing in the Mid-State: our Annual 25% Off Sale is coming up. Customers wait all year for this event and, since I do not discount or have any sales prior to it, start putting together their "landscape material wish lists" during the Spring and Summer months. I get inundated with emails inquiring about what's available on their lists, from people all over the region.
Amazingly, gas prices have climbed this past week at most stations in the York, PA, area. I filled up the '94 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 LTD — 19.751gals for $30.00 at $1.51.9/ gal (89 oct). After dropping like the Liar-In-Chief's trousers in the Oral Orifice over the past several weeks, there's some indication that prices will now continue their traditional upward spiral toward the Memorial Day Holiday drive period.
On Wednesday, I completed all of the paperwork to transfer my domain, www.gdnctr.com, from my soon-to-be-defunct ISP in Manassas, VA, to the new ISP in Chicago. Five long forms, credit card payment and my email "OK" to Network Solutions Inc. to transfer the domain and presto: when I got up at 4am on Thursday, www.gdnctr.com was nowhere to be found. It was now pointing every visitor to the new ISP, but nothing was yet uploaded to their server. Fortunately, I had downloaded my entire site on the 18th and 19th, so all files were intact on my home SAG 700's ultra-fast, ultra-wide, SCSI LVD2 10,000rpm hard drive. It's connected to a 500kbps cable modem, so the upload and install process would be easy. Hmmm, no email either. Seems strangely quiet to open the browser and not have that little email icon pop-up in the tray.
I was taking Thursday off anyway, so between some food shopping and miscellaneous chores around the condo, what else did I have to do except FTP (File Transfer Protocol) and install the thousands of folders and files to the new server in Chicago. I called them as soon as they were open to get the FTP coordinates. Once those were installed in my FTP software, I opened the wide cable modem pipe and began the upload. I also ran into a "glitch" with their email server: I can receive mail across their server, but have to use my local ISP's — smtp.blazenet.net and smtp.onemain.com — to send mail. All in all, a very complicated day with lots of phone calls, reconfigurations and angst. Some day off!
When I returned from food shopping around 2:30pm on Thursday, the FTP file transfer had stopped at "m" and I had to re-start it to complete the website files. Speed of transfer ranged anywhere from 89.67Kbps to 1.45Mbps It was most disconcerting that neither of the Java Applets worked, and that 65% of the site's pages were MIA. It took another 5hrs to complete the transfer and work out the "bugs".
They did it. The lying scum at NTSB and FBI have covered up the missile shootdown of TWA 800 in '96.
They claimed no evidence of a missile explosion was present. Of course not; evidence was tampered with and removed from the re-construction hangar by the government liars.

For the government idiots to claim that "a small group of conspiracy theorists with their own agendas dispute the facts" is ludicrous; what possible "agenda" could I or others possibly have? Except to find the truth on the basis of the available facts and evidence. I'm not an interested party, financially or otherwise.
To reinforce just what kind of lowlife lib-dem scumbags this Nation is dealing with, the garbage who attended the Democrat National Convention last week actually booed a contingent of Boy Scouts on the stage because of the US Supreme Court's recent ruling that the BSA doesn't have to allow fudge-packing, rump-raiding homos into their organization. The Cali-fornicate delegation's behavior was especially insidious, and they should have been removed from the convention floor. If I was the Floor Marshall, they'd have all been clubbed to death and removed in bodybags. No exceptions permitted.
What a huge waste of the American Taxpayer's — that's you and I — money, the stinking Clintoon family spent $292 million on 159 worthless and useless trips abroad, since '97. That total did not include Secret Service protecting, lodging and other various expenses. Hell, a 747 costs $7,000/hr to operate, while Air Force One costs $54,000/hr! Worthless and useless, since nothing on an international scale was ever accomplished, other than a Clintoon entourage of 1,000+ people and baggage clogging up foreign countries and f*cking up the so-called friendly skies. Our tax dollars at work?
Here's a wonderful example of how slimy politics f*cks up our legal system and lets criminals get off. A lawsuit brought by Linda Tripp against the government has been taken away from a Reagan-appointed judge who is a thorn in the side of the administration and is now in the hands of a judge appointed by President Clintoon. Which means it'll probably be dismissed by the crooked judge. Three crooked federal judges, also appointed by Bubba Clintoon, made the decision to move the case to the Clintoon-appointed judge. Natch.
Knowing what a criminal slimeball Clintoon really is — remember, he's the moron who bombed an aspirin factory in the Sudan a few years back to cover his Monica Lewinsky scandal here — this scenario wouldn't surprise me a bit. You?
