while america rots
Friday, January 11th, 2008

america's still singing New Year's songs, and in a treasonous act of sabotage of The American Peoples' Mandate to Close The Mexican Border, the Senate approved a $555 billion "omnibus spending bill", laden with over 11,000 "earmarks" (pork projects) that removed legal requirements mandating that the federal government fund 854 miles of a double layer border fence spanning America's southwestern border. When the spending bill, which combines appropriations for a number of federal agencies, reached the Senate, US Sen Kay Bailey Hutchison (RINO/TRAITOR-TX), at the direction of President GW Bush, attached S-Amdt-2466 to the measure in order to silently-gut the SFA (Secure Fence Act 2006)'s spending requirement. Cicero once said: “A nation can survive its fools, even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within... for the traitor appears not to be a traitor... s/he rots the soul of a nation... s/he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist.” US Sen Kay Bailey Hutchison (RINO/TRAITOR-TX) is one part of The Enemy Within™. Why does she want the borders left wide open? Whom is she protecting? Who are her real masters? Whom is she really working for? Who owns her? Certainly not The American People. At a time when Paki muslim-islamists could very easily get control of that country's nukes, and put a lethal cloud over an American City, we also have internal enemies like Hutchinsion, working against America, from within. Multiply her treason-sedition-sabotage by hundreds, thousands or even millions, and we're in a deep pile of shit. A constitutional crisis is developing between Congress and the Department of Transportation, over the federal government's decision to continue its project allowing Mexican trucks on US roads, in defiance of new legislation. Yes, over ¾ of America's still singing New Year's songs, and the treasonous, seditious oligarchs in the US Senate tell America to "f•ck off!", simply does what they want done, and the "others they all work for"; NOT The American People, who elected them. Over 80% of The American People, in too many polls to count, have said: "Close the border with Mexico! We're tired of the influx of drugs, drugs smugglers, illegal aliens and their violent crimes, third-world diseases, our schools are breaking, and ourhospitals are being overrun." We're living in an Oligarch's State; a Senatorial Dictatorship. The US Senate represents entities other than The American People. My guess is that their real masters are corrupt, 3rd century middle eastern oligarchs, from Dubai (UAE). We've been lied-to, stabbed in the back, kicked in the groin, thrown under the bus, and are expected to just smile and take it. The sequence in the rise and fall of a democracy, is generally attributed to Alex Fraser Tytler: “1) from bondage to spiritual faith; 2) from spiritual faith to great courage; 3) from great courage to liberty; 4) from liberty to abundance; 5) from abundance to selfishness; 6) from selfishness to complacency; 7) from complacency to apathy; 8) from apathy to dependence; 9) from dependency back again to bondage.” Is America back from the New Year's Holiday, yet? Anyone home? This is the Final Crusade for Our America. There are only 2 sides. Pick one.

Around The Garden Center™.
I also gave-up all alcohol on December 26th, as part of my 6-day, "personal rejuvenation", and feel a whole lot better for doing so. It was time in My Life to wise-up, and realize that there were a lot more important things than vodka & cranberry juice after work, at home. Consequently, all my 4-5-6-7 Course Gourmet Dinners, which are wine-based Italian, French and Mediterranean cuisine, will have to be "re-thought". I've postponed all promised dinners, over the Winter months, until I come-up with a cuisine which doesn't utilize any alcohol. Oriental, perhaps? We'll see. Time to fire-up my 25-yr old Wok, and see if I remember the basics.
Up at 6am, 15°F with 9°F windchill, last Friday morning, made for another bitter cold drive to work. I'm still amazed that so many of God's Creatures can survive in this weather; perhaps many of them don't. I don't have a clue. I put out another 20lb bag of wild birdseed. Most ponds' water is still frozen to 2" depth.
I'm still worried about our "stray mystery dog"; where is she this past day and night? Hopefully, okay. As I was leaving around 3:15pm, I saw her curled-up in the massive, warm compost pile. I hope she keeps finding those "warm spots". Her bowl was empty; at least she'd eaten. We'll fill it again, tomorrow morning. Another bitter cold night ahead.
We sold out of water garden heaters and the wire guards, Friday. With the bitter temps of the past 2-3 days and nights, it seems everyone's water garden is freezing-up. I'm advising them to pull the pump's plug, and run the heater, only.
19°F on Saturday morning, no wind, and a heavy frost. I was up at 6:30am, and am now enjoying getting-up early rather than sleeping late. I opened the GC&N up at 9:30. At 12:15pm, I heard a loud noise coming from the Main Greenhouse, and went in to see a PVC water line had come loose from its hose clamp. Water was spraying everywhere. Unable to trace the line's origin and valve inside "the pump house", I grabbed a large screwdriver, waded-into the spray, pulled it off the nozzle, put it back on and re-tightened the clamp. That fixed it. I spent the rest of the afternoon "drying out" my jeans and shirt, in a very warm office. Was that fun or what? I had some of Mom's delicious, homemade PA Dutch Beansoup, for lunch. I made some "comfort food" — grilled cheese and cream-of-tomato soup — for dinner; admittedly not my usual bill o' fare of filet mignon, pasta and sauce, but it tasted good, on a cold, rainy night. I continue to monitor and record (NotePad) my hourly BP numbers.
I'm working on cleaning-up "pre-2006 clutter" from the office, and moving many hardcopy files to "The Archives", in A•••'s office. My GH-Guy, B••, is doing the lion's share of the file-cleanout work — not my strong suit — per my instructions. A*****, one of my Senior-Grade Landscapers, is taking care of our "stray mystery dog" on a daily basis. J•••••••, my Horticulturalist comes in to check and water the 6 GHs, loaded with leftover nursery stock, and perennials, grasses etc. (Any losses will be deducted from her Spring paychecks; just kidding, J•••••••!) A•••, my Landscape Foreman's eye surgery is healing nicely. I'm starting a new "Hardscape Divsion", to compliment the Landscape Division, and S••• will take that over, reporting directly to me. J••••, my Landscape Designer, is busy with appointments, design, presentations etc. He'll now be the "final arbiter" of all completed lscp jobs, between Landscape/Hardscape Divisions. My next project with B••, is to clean-out my office wall storage areas. Then, inventory the shirts, caps, sweatshirts etc for the Spring LSCP Crews. My office needs a paint job, as does the Main Retail Building needs the grey deck stain on all the timbers. My list is long.
I watched ABC's The New Hampshire GOP Debates, on Saturday evening. It was eye-opening, for me. McCain lied his ass-off about amnesty, and was vindictive; Romney acted like a spoiled child; Huckabee said nothing of any substance; Thompson was perfect on all answers and points, and sounded like the only adult on stage; Guiliani was made a liar about his NYC sanctuary city; and Ron Paul is a nutcase, and shouldn't have even been there. US Rep Duncan Hunter was uninvited, but is the most Conservative of all of them, along with Fred Thompson. I coould vote for a Thompson-Hunter Conserevative GOP Ticket, bigtime. Here's the FR.com threads with both GOP and lib-dems on them.
I honestly tried to watch ABC's The New Hampshire demokkkRAT Debates, also on Saturday evening, immediately follwing the GOP catfight. It was sickening socialist crap. I switched-over to The History Channel's original 1971 "Dirty Harry", at 10pm. I had another cup of Harris Green Tea, and called it a night around midnight.
I went over to Mom & Dad's for pork, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, vegs, ice cream — The Traditonal York County New Year's Day Dinner, which I missed with them on New Year's Day — on Sunday afternoon. I wasn't feeling all that well, but needed to get out in some fresh air, for a drive. It worked. Temps were around 53°F, and Monday promises the 50s and even 60s later in the week.
$100+/bbl oil prices. Gas prices at the pumps have risen 19ข/gal in just over a week. Unleaded Regular (87oct) is now at $3.19/gal, Unleaded Plus (90oct) is up to $3.29/gal, and Unleaded Premium (92oct) is now at $3.49/gal. Diesel is at $3.49/gal. I'm going to get hammered by freight and fueld surcharge costs, almost double of last Spring's nursery stock shipments, many of which we pared-back heavily — and eliminated 2 completely — last week.
Wow! 68°F on Monday and 67°F on Tuesday! Those Spring-like temps were so welcome after almost 14 days of bitter cold 17°F weather. We put a water dish out for the "mystery stray dog", so he gets some clean, potable drinking water, with the Beneful dry food we're feeding him, daily. Still no luck getting within 20ft of him, before he starts walking away. A*****'s working on it, a day-at-a-time. Yes, it's a male dog, not a female. He definitely has a "male appendage", but was neutered probably as a puppy, since that "other male appendage" is gone.
Reason #1 why I carry (concealed; PA-CCW) a Kimber 1911 "Eclipse Target II" .45cal ACP, and one extra 8-round mag on my belt, with two extra in the Jeep, whenever I go out for a walk, anywhere. If I'm prohibited from carrying in a mall, on a certain property or in a building/store, I simply don't go there. If it's a so-called "gun free zone", then it's ripe for a murderer to go on a rampage, IMO, against unarmed citizen/victims. Can you say Columbine, Amish Schoolhouse, VaTech, and dozens more such slaughters? I won't be amongst that death and carnage, without my weapon (and extra ammo) for self-protection.
On Tuesday evening at 9pm, I started a 2hr phone call marathon with my Friend, D••••, out in Western PA, about CSS, my giving-up alcohol, her "eldercare travails" with the medical bureaucracy/bullcrap, and a bunch of other topics. At 11pm, I re-checked the NH Primary Results, and saw the scorecard of both parties. How disappointing that the most Conservative of the Republicans, US Rep Duncan Hunter (PATRIOT-CA), finished last with 0% of the vote.
After reading this "Science Daily" article about the re-proven benefits of oatmeal, I resurrected numerous boxes of it from the pantry, and am having it every morning for breakfast. I'm overdue for some lab work for my GP's records, so I'll find out some numbers, when I get it done. (Damn, I hate needles!)
I had an 11:00am meeting on Thursday, with 3 of my Landscape Division Key Staff — A•••, the Landscape Foreman; S•••, (New) Hardscape Division Foreman; and J••••, Staff Landscape Designer — to announce S•••'s New Hardscape Divsion, and the full responsibilities he now has, as well as go over scores of other items for Spring's 2008 Season. The economy and drought were very much on the table, in play. And so were equipment, expansion, retail sales revival, etc etc etc. To my great disappointment, I am losing both D••, who was being "groomed" this year for LSCP Crew Chief position and even possibly higher in >5 years, after being with us 3mos at the end of the 2007 Season; and it also looks like •••, one of my Key Staff as Nursery Ass't to J•••••••, my Staff Horticulturalist, who'd completed two very good years with us. Both men have gotten better offers than I can now counter-offer, and they'd be long-term-foolish to turn-down such compensation packages, in favor of me. I would actively try to talk them out of it, if they didn't accept the other, better offers, and opted to stay-on with me. Well, "everything happens for a reason", I've heard it said. I wish them both well, as I have when we lost D•••, C•••, and numerous other talented people. I hate to see them all go, but truly wish them well in Life, as "this Life isn't a dress rehearsal; it's the only chance we all get, to get it right".

Things Which Make Your Head Explode™.
The meaningless, useless, worthless piece-of-shit, irrelevant, "Iowa Caucus"? WTF cares? Same with worthless New Hampshire, and its massive out-of-state, voter turnout, and all the rest of 'em coming-up. WTF cares? They're unimportant crap, IMO.
Why Barack Hussein Obama-Osama Jr, won the Iowa Caucus. Surprised?
I need duct tape for this wacko judge's decision: "A federal judge ordered the Navy on Thursday to adopt measures that would lessen the impact of sonar on whales and other marine life during exercises near Southern California." I hope the USN appeals and wins, quickly.
Don't put that duct tape away, as I need it for this fawning, leftist-wacko liberal writer, comparing the racist, lowlife dirtbag US Rep Barack Hussein Obama-Osama Jr (SOCIALIST-IL), to Jesus. And to JFK. Un-freaking-believeable!
One of the many people who "get it" about the threat from Iran: Avi Dichter, the Israeli minister of public security.
Why is CNN promoting this filthy, stinking, ugly skank whore — Amy "Long Island Lolita" Fisher's — porno movie? The garbage story's been on CNN's website all week. What's with those scumbags? Who cares about the Flisher slutskank? IMO, she shoujld still be in prison, for attempted murder. This filth isn't news; it's garbage, shit and trash!
If this article is true, and the NRA Exec-VP pocketed $950,000 in 2005 for a salary, then I'm not renewing my yearly membership, and won't participate in that corrupt bullshit organization.
Would it piss you off to "lose control of your home's thermostat"? Read this: The Peoples' Republik of Kalifornicate already has lost control. Coming soon to your state?
If there's any doubt in your mind that treasonsous, seditious, cowardly, liberal-RINO US Sen John "No Brain" McCain (IDIOT-AZ) is mentally-ill, have a look at this pic. Any questions?
Simply ignore this BBC faux-recession bullshit; it's total leftist crap! Uh oh; this DJIA -238pts, isn't.
Did you see this video footage of the 5 Iranian terrorist crap boats, against the 3 US Navy Ships? We should have vaporized all the subhuman muslim-islamist filth, with the Phalanx Guns. Fish in a barrel, IMO.
With billions of hard-earned US Taxpayers' dollars in its bloated budget, the FBI loses crucial criminal investigation wiretaps, due to non-payment of telephone bills. Okay, now I really need some duct tape for my about-to-explode head!

Roll of The Dice™.
The US Economy is good. 5% unemployment is almost (95%) full employment. After 15yrs of being a wrong, leftist-idiot, this schmuck finally gets it right.
You have to admire the people and pols in South Carolina, IMO. They "get it" and are getting to it.

Global Warming BS™.
Have you seen this video: "BBC: The Great Global Warming Swindle"? It was outright-banned from leftist, hate-filled, dirtbag lowlife scumbags, Google.com's and YouTube.com's websites, by the mentally-ill, left-wing, global warming idiot wackos, but I've preserved it, for posterity, aka you, me and *ours*. Watch, be informed and download it for others to see. It's on my corporate server, and will stay there, BTW.
Uh oh. AlGoreBore's gonna be PO'd about this: "A cold spell soon to replace global warming"?

Some People Just Need Killing™.
I always like it when "Justice Is Done" — whether it be execution or something "set-right" — and I heartily applaud Charles Chatman, 47, who was released on his recognizance after serving nearly 27 years of a 99-year sentence. He was freed on the basis of new DNA testing that lawyers say proves his innocence and adds to Dallas County's nationally unmatched number of wrongfully convicted inmates. I have a feeling that Dallas County's insurance company will be hearing from his lawyers, real soon. For many millions, I hope.
Raping and killing a goat, in Florida? Did the 48-year old subhuman think the goat was going to file charges? What's going on in this country? I don't recognize America, anymore. IMO, anyone into bestiality should be headshot; no trial.
All pedophiles need killing, IMO. And 46-year-old Tony Osing is no exception, for sexually assaulting one of his Jr HS students.

Not in My Cart.
Consumers Union, the non-profit publisher of Consumer Reports, has launched a webpage devoted entirely to the issue of product safety and the most recent recalls for lack thereof. Here are a few facts I learned from the site:
• 80% of all toys sold in the U.S. are now manufactured in China.
• The Consumer Product Safety Commission inspects less than 1% of imported goods.
• The FDA inspects about 1% of imported food.
We've all read about the consequences of this lack of oversight. Toys painted with lead, toothpaste shot through with poison, food that's tainted—it's enough to distract you from the low, low sticker price. Or a least inspire you to check for the latest recalls and share your own consumer horror stories. The site's blog keeps you up-to-date with what's happening in the fight for greater consumer protection through legislation. So get the lead out! Take action now. (NOTICE: a song plays immediately upon opening the site. Check your volume level!)
