If you seek a general theme in this moment’s tempestuous events, try No Submission. It’s behind events in the Middle East and in the USA — and across Western Civ ultimately. No submission to what, you ask? To willful evil. Of course, the willfully evil will not see it that way, and great quarrels will arise over who-and-what represents the evil abroad in the world.

Iran advertised countless times its resolve to wipe Israel off the map, in so many words. Israel was not inclined to submit to that outcome and it closely monitored Iran’s practical steps to acquire deliverable nuclear bombs. Israel, in turn, advertised that Iran’s nuclear program would not be allowed to succeed. The world stood by waiting to see who’s advertising jibed with reality.

Now you know. Never Again is not an empty slogan. The Shiite jihad has been put down, and the effort will continue until the answer is beyond dispute, days, maybe a week or more. Iran’s civil leadership was willing to talk, or at least pretend to talk down to the last hour, but the mullahs above them obdurately pushed ahead toward nuclear jihad. Not going happen, Israel assured them. And so, here we are.

The world situation amounts to a set of jihads of different varieties. In our country, the Democratic Party has been waging jihad against order, liberty, truth, and decency. You can tell it’s jihad because it’s irrational, frankly, insane. Americans are asked to submit to propositions that will destroy the country and its traditions, and they have had enough of the hustles aimed at that outcome.

Too many of us do not believe that uncontrolled illegal immigration is okay, that government should replace the family, that all journeys in life can be equally favorable, that men can become women by wishing it, that our history must be erased, that censorship is required to keep the jihad going, and that the punishment against citizens will continue until morale improves.

That is the program of the American left and lately of the Democratic Party it has taken over. They demonstrate it by their deeds. The Party represents a dwindling cohort of the populace, but its forces have already marched through and captured many institutions crucial to our national life. The opposing force, loosely called Populism, will not submit to that program, is now actively putting a stop to as much of it as possible, shaking out those institutions.

The Left and the Democrats have lost a lot of ground in recent months, especially their control on the levers of power. And since power is really all they care about — the power to make everybody else submit — they are growing desperate, seeking to induce as much chaos across the land as they can possibly generate. Hence, the outbreaks of civil disorder in the cities, using illegal immigrants as one set of shock troops and mentally-ill youth as another phalanx.

The object of the chaos is to provoke the Populist opposition to exert its authority to control that chaos, and therefore — in the insane reasoning of the leftists — to prove that authority itself is an intolerable wickedness. This is only possible, of course, in minds that do not comprehend boundaries, differences between right and wrong, up and down, inside and outside, reality and fantasy. That is the mentality that drives itself toward chaos. So, it remains for the Populists to demonstrate that authority is not innately wicked, that it can have a beneficent purpose in the scheme of civilized humanity. Order is not necessarily tyranny.

The other once-great nations of Western Civ — Britain, Germany, France — slump towards collapse, having already submitted to the EU, run by an unelected, dictatorial, bureaucracy, under the occult influence of megalomaniacs such as Bill Gates and the Soros family. The newly-arrived hordes of Islamic immigrants in these countries demand submission of the Europeans, and the Europeans have so far failed to resist. But an inflection point draws near, and the latent ferocity of the indigenous population has yet to express itself. It may be too late to avert some kind of violent civil conflict across the continent. Governments will surely fall. Mighty empires die of old age and are conquered, alas.

Here in the USA, we await the “No Kings” actions planned for hundreds of cities and towns across the land, meticulously organized by a host of NGOs, even funded by grifts run through government itself, such as the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA), gifted with $34-million from California taxpayers. Billionaire Walmart heiress Christy Walton is allegedly behind the NGO that styles itself as “Indivisible,” the principal org promoting Saturday’s “No Kings” actions. You can suppose that the idea is to flood-the-zone with so many demonstrations in so many places that at least some of them will get yeasty with violence — tempting populist authority to assert itself. . . so that the left can call them “fascists.”

That label has probably lost its mojo. The Populist opposition has drawn a line against this shuck-and-jive, just as Israel drew a line against its declared enemy acquiring nuclear weapons. The lines, you see, are clearly drawn. The game is on.

The $2.1 billion machine behind 'spontaneous' anti-Trump protests.

Leah Greenberg (l.), founder of the political nonprofit, Indivisible, confers with United Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten, (r.), during a recent virtual town hall to discuss the planned anti-Trump rallies scheduled for June 14, 2025. (Fox News Digital)

Early Tuesday evening, as National Guard troops faced off against protesters and rioters on the streets of Los Angeles, powerful teachers’ union president Randi Weingarten hosted a virtual town hall with Democratic Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear.and two leading political operatives in Democratic Party politics, Leah Greenberg, founder of a political nonprofit, Indivisible, and Rev. Al Sharpton, founder of another political nonprofit, National Action Network.

Greenberg hailed an upcoming wave of protests this Saturday — set to sweep through even "really red areas of the country," marked with mostly Republican voters — as a stand against President Donald Trump. Throughout the call, Weingarten beamed, excited. Sharpton phoned in his enthusiasm about people with "different political beliefs" uniting. They touted Saturday’s campaign as the "#NoKings" protest.

But what they didn’t detail is the massive network of Democratic organizations funding and orchestrating this supposedly spontaneous uprising.

As editor-in-chief of the Pearl Project, a nonprofit journalism initiative I founded in honor of my friend and colleague, Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, I’ve spent the past two decades investigating how ideology, identity politics, and sectarian hatred can turn violent. Radicalized Pakistani militants brutally murdered Danny after kidnapping him in 2002 on the streets of Karachi, Pakistan, and demonizing him as an American, a Jew and a grandson of Israel. I have warned about an unholy alliance between far-left radicalism and Islamist extremism, and it has now come home to the streets of the United States.

A Day In The Life.

Up at 9:30a on Friday, I made coffee, took an aspirin for R/S Sciatic pain, fired-up the Win-7 Pentium HP Desktop to let 32 million lines of code load, had a couple smokes in the garage and checked the leftover errands list. Today and next week are clear, but I have a few condo chores here, to get done today. I scanned the news and weather, tuned into the "CP Show LIVE" from 9-12, and the news was all about Israel's missile strike on the Jew-hating, terrorist regime, Iran. Air quality is poor, current temp is 78°F, compared to yesterday's 95° and 55% humidity. Very dicey for my COPD.

I lounged around until just after 1p, enjoying coffee and, with no errands today, finally got ready for the day, at 1p. Friday The 13th. Heh. No, I've never been superstitious. After listening to the "CP Show LIVE" from 9-12, I had lunch, did some chores and some errands. By 4:30p, I was tired and took a 2hr snooze, on the LR couch. By 6, I'd had some Chinese for dinner, watched the news and switched to Discovery's "Gold Rush" until 11p, and TWC's "Weather Gone Viral" until 2a. Lights out.

Sleeping-in until 10:30a on Saturday, a cloudy, 66°, poor quality air again, morning. I made coffee, fired-up the HP Win-7 Pro x64 Desktop, to get news headlines and such. I had breakfast and around mid-afternoon, had a late lunch. I did some work on the MT Rose Cemetery Proposal, but quit after an hour. The Army's 250th Anniversary? I followed it on my computer's new sites, as well as the wacko leftists in their idiotic "No Kings" BS crap. Well, it wasn't Philly where it got nasty; it was Portland, and ICE took a beating. I didn't watch a minute of TV today. I followed the many large 'demonstrations' of the leftist nutcases in US cities, as well as Iran's retaliatory missile strikes on Israel, on the computer and bagged it at 12 midnight.

The leftist, communist, Marxist, anarchist, socialists' "No Kings" demonstrations in over 1,000 US Cities, is on for today, and violence is already happening, so I'll naturally stay away from all that mentally-ill crap. Filthadelphia (Philly) is likely for a "mass casualty event", according to authorities, and so is DC, despite 18 miles of fencing and 175 magnetometers. Get ready for a nasty day. By 11p, I'd had enough "news" and unplugged.

Coffee... because murder is wrong.

Up at 8a on Sunday, a heavily overcast, drizzly, 60° morning, forecast to hit a cool 66°. I made coffee, had 2 mini-croissants for breakfast, and scanned the news and weather headlines. Somehow, I just knew that this shit would happen, with Trump. 30-50 million illegals simply can't be deported -- as I've said for many years -- and that he'd have to accommodate most of them. I skipped shaving, took a penultimate "nice sponge bath" -- new Navien tankless water heater to be installed tomorrow -- and I can get back to so-called "normal". My old 2008 RUUD-Rheem Tankless WH lasted 17yrs, so I did OK with that one. This new unit will far outlast me. Heh.

I did laundry, watched the 2hr F1 Canadian Grand Prix, caught some TV news and even managed a 90min nap. After a nice Chinese dinner, I watched the news, switched to MT's "Iron Resurrection" until 11. Lights out.

Up at 5:30a before the alarm at 6 on Monday, I made coffee, skipped breakfast, scanned the news and weather, and got ready for the day. It was a rainy, cool 58° I moved my Jeep HEMI V8 out of the garage and into a vacant next door driveway, so the tech could back the service truck up to the garage, unload the new unit and tools, and work out of the garage and basement, and not in the rain. Josh, the tech from Sanders HVAC arrived at 8a, and got to work. I had paperwork and some condo chores to do, and stayed out of his way.

After a full 8½ hours, and a LOT of fabrication the tech was finished, cleaned-up, was nicely tipped and left. Josh did a very nice job, inside tankless unit, water/ gas, and outside exhaust. I got some lunch, tried to take a short nap, but gave up. After re-checking the news and weather on my Ol' HP Desktop, I moved the Jeep back into the garage, did a couple chores, and unpacked a nice shipment of Kona Coffee from Monarch Coffee Farm, Maul, Hawaii. More Chinese for dinner, the evening news, and I switched to MT's "Iron Resurrection" series until 12:30a, and unplugged.

Up at 8:15a on Tuesday, an overcast, rainy, very foggy, very humid 65°, I made coffee, tuned into the "CP Show LIVE", and planned the day, based on yesterday's interruptions. A dreary day, but no complaints from me, after the 9-week drought last Summer; we'll be grateful for the days of rain before this coming Summer. After a L-O-N-G HOT shower, I got ready for the day, and left for (yesterday's) postponed trip[ down south, with 3 stops. I left around 12:30p, traffic was light, and I was back by 1:30p, unpacked and had some lunch.

I had all kinds of little condo chores to get done, some paperwork from the growing stack on my desk, made the penultimate Chinese dinner from the remaining Dim Sum containers, watched the evening news and switched to History's "The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch" until 12:30a, and bagged it for the night.

If I'd have know that I was going to live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself.

Up at 7a on Wednesday, another heavily overcast, VERY humid, foggy, rainy, 76° morning, forecast to get into the upper 80s. Summer's here. I made coffee, tuned into the "CS Show LIVE" until 9, then switched to the "CP Show LIVE", and left for the 10:45 Dr's (Podiatrist) app't at 10:25. She's nice, and very good, so I'll stay w/ her. Back home by 11:30, after another stop, I had a MASSIVE, last-of-the-Chinese-food lunch at 1p, hit the LR couch for 2hrs, and after finished-off the last of the morning's Kona Coffee.

I spent much of the afternoon reading online articles about the Israeli-Iran War, and the huge number of options that might play out. By 6p, I'd watched the evening news, and switched to Discovery's "Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch" until 1a. Lights out.

Up at 7:30a on Thursday, a sunny, VERY humid (82%), milky sky, 80° and forecast to get to 91° (actually got to 92°), with severe t-storms this afternoon, and a ***TORNADO WATCH*** posted. Meh. It is awful outside; I can hardly breathe thru my COPD, so will try to stay inside until this humidity passes. Israel's Mossad Op was a brilliant move, and has paved the way for the US to use GBU-57s on all nuke sites in Iran. A truly masterful job.

After a large lunch, I took a 2hr snooze on the LR couch, and woke-up to a heavy rainstorm downpour, as many t-storm cells passed thru the York-Lancaster area. I like it, BIGLY. By 5p, temps had dropped 13° and humidity was down, too, although raining, and it was a little more comfortable to go outside. I had some dinner, watched the evening news on FNC, and the two following shows. I switched to Discovery's "Caught!" for some cringy videos, until 12 midnight, and unplugged. Lights out.

Tomorrow starts a new week here in the "Journal" and, except for gewtting some lab/blood work done on Thursday, it's a clear week. Sherry's here tomorrow, and we'll get a day or so reserved for "US". Life is good.

Leftism: United in Violence

It's Liu-si, or six-four, the fourth day of June. The anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre seems like a fitting time to drop this piece on why Leftism is more a collection of murderers than it is a collection of ideas. That it is more about crushing everything under the boot heel of good intentions than it is about actual good intentions.

It's the first weekend in June and already we have a new terror attack to keep the news feeds occupied. People are going to talk about Palestine and they're going to talk about Israel and they're going to talk about free speech.

Which is all fine and well, I suppose.

A pattern is emerging: Because the Left is the political home of Americans who actively seek to foment violence, the Left is emerging as the political home of both Islamist extremists and LGBTQ extremists alike. Strange bedfellows to be sure! Never mind the fact that these 2 factions espouse diametrically opposed worldviews–their willingness to use force and terror to achieve political aims unites them in blood.

The Left is pulling itself apart and, as the more reasonable members of its constituency leave her ranks, the remaining numbers of violent and crazy people naturally occupy a larger proportion of the remnant.

That can explain why it seems Leftist political violence is more prevalent now.

But it's also summer in a Trump administration and we can expect violence to spiral out of control. If you recall the summers of 2016 - 2020, the Left at that time was viewed generally as a lot more legitimate than it is today. This meant paid protesters were given the benefit of the doubt, allowing them free reign to loot, riot, and commit violence while police stood by and watched. So I don't think what we're seeing is a true increase in violence. This isn't merely a fearful Leftist political class desperate to reassert its lost dominance.

The fact is, Leftism has always been extremely violent. Generations of institutional support for Leftism have enabled its routine practice of violence. Politicians, pundits, and media once offered a convenient smoke screen that obfuscated the fact that where Leftist political thought maintained dominance, bloodshed, and violence were everyday affairs.

Consider the damage, previously reported, about the numbers of abortions performed last year in the United States alone. And this year, we're on track for similar damage with over 383,000 US abortions.

Abortion is the darling of the American political Left. Go back to the election newscasts of 2024 and every other word was either abortion or some focused-grouped euphemism like "reproductive care." The corpses of the millions of unborn are an undeniable legacy of Democrats.

But they exhibit this millstone around their necks like it is pure bling. Yet we never call them out for it.

We're polite. We understand that, according to their own arguments, they don't believe that unborn humans are fully human. So they say.

I think the unspoken truth behind the Left's embracing of abortion is that they don't care about death at all. They can't let that cat out of the bag because fear of death is also how they like to control the masses. It's always "Do as I say or millions may die!" And meanwhile? Millions are dying. By their hands.

Remember, if you don't approve of the trans mental illness, you're "denying trans people their existence." That's a phrase that's meant to catastrophize something as benign as a scientifically accurate opinion on biological reality. The idea is to push the narrative that refusing to capitulate to their insanity will result in the fantastical deletion of trans people from reality itself. Conservative ideas as Infinity Gems, I guess.

That line, like the many lines about the hundreds of thousands of Palestinian babies dying every minute, does more than ratchet up the rhetoric in order to delegitimize contrary opinions. Its main function is to legitimize violence as a valid and necessary response to losing the battle of truth and logic.

That's right, they know they don't have truth or logic on their side; their plans include a violence contingency for when they inevitably lose the argument. Further proof that it has never been about acceptance or love or tolerance but about lowering our guard so we don't expect the knife.

That's why Leftist protests become Leftist riots at the drop of a hat. Those protests aren't supposed to convince anyone to believe as they do. Who would be convinced by their rambling screeches or nudity or undignified displays of sadomasochism? No one. That's the point. Leftist protests aren't about evangelizing a populace through sharing ideas. They're really warnings. It's how Leftist tell the rest of us that they represent a large contingent of mentally unstable people who appear incapable of resisting the urge to harm others.

Leftist protests are peaceful in the same way a warning shot is peaceful.

It's the bare minimum of caution they feel obliged to convey. The idea is to let you know that it's not about choice. It's never been about choice.

It's only ever been about power.

Let's take a look at the past few years again.

Remember the 2020 Summer of Love? According to data compiled by Real Clear Politics in 2021, that months-long protest in reaction to "racially motivated" "police violence" resulted in upwards to $2 Billion dollars in damages and as many as 20 deaths along with thousands of assaults.

And that's just one summer of protests.

What about the summers before and since?

Or better yet, what about the death tolls exacerbated by Leftist policies? Policies like defund the police, allowing unchecked criminal migration, or conducting proxy wars against Russia, or undermining Israel?

People never talk about the 25 bombings committed by the Weather Underground in 1975 alone. This despite the fact that those attacks were successfully carried out on high profile targets like the US Capitol and the Pentagon.

We've seemed to gloss over the mutilating process they call "gender-affirming care." We seldom cite the data on the massive uptick in suicidal ideation that this procedure inflicts on its survivors.

We aren't talking about how Leftist policies promote poverty which leads to inevitable large increases in drug use and violent crime.

We aren't talking about the numbers of people now dead from blood clots and cancers because they were lied to or coerced by Leftists into taking a "vaccine" that doesn't even protect from the disease it's ostensibly designed to protect against.

No, instead, we talk about Leftist hypocrisy. "They said Musk is a Nazi but they're the ones attacking Israel."

Ooooo! Sick burn!

Really. It's time to address the facts. This isn't about politics. It's not about inconsistent messaging. It's not about having a slightly different world view or opinion about how government and citizens should interact. The Left are violent people. They burn down homes, destroy buildings, commit deliberate vehicular homicide, shoot up schools, obliterate businesses.

Conservatives on the other hand tend to play it much too safe. Consider the blood-soaked history of the Left. Now consider how it's always the Left that's constantly playing rhetorical games when characterizing the Right. The example above about scientifically accurate gender concepts causing transgenders to be erased from existence is only a recent example.

Many of us can remember when Democrats ran ads with Republican candidate Paul Ryan rolling wheelchaired grandma off a cliff.

And as I've said before, the Left doesn't hesitate to lay the legacy of the National Socialist Party's Hitler and his Nazi movement in the laps of small government Conservatives.

So what good are we doing when we complain about something as inconsequential as the Leftwing hypocrisy? They're hypocrites. They know they're hypocrites. They know this because they're lying about who they are in the first place. Calling them out on it is a lot like calling out a professional athlete for being athletic. It's their nature.

They're certainly thrilled we tend to draw the line at calling them hypocrites and liars.

As far back as the late 19th century Karl Marx promoted the idea that all societal change is the result of violence, which he likened to the "midwife of every society pregnant with a new [society]." He also described the working class as the "executioner" of the traditional social order.

Both Marx and Engels envisioned a social order that they themselves termed "the dictatorship of the proletariat."

Leon Trotsky, who led the Red Army during the Russian Civil War, was known for his brutality and openly endorsed terrorism as a necessary tool to suppress not only counter revolution but to also keep the working class in line. "The man who repudiates terrorism in principle—i.e., repudiates measures of suppression and intimidation towards determined and armed counter-revolution—must reject all idea of the political supremacy of the working class and its revolutionary dictatorship."

Stalin and Lenin were even less diplomatic in their word choice and more brutal in their actions. Lenin praised the wholesale slaughter of the kulaks. Stalin went further advocating for the total elimination of the kulaks as a class arguing that, "To make an omelet, you must break eggs."

And it was Mao who said that, "Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun." This coming from the man who promoted the Cultural Revolution which saw the death of upwards to 2 million of China's own people. I guess we know who had the gun barrels in that scenario.

Ask yourself about the the kind of people who are attracted to these ideas: Do they join Leftist causes because they're sincerely interested in making the world a better place?

History shows people who embrace violence as a necessary or inevitable or even legitimate extension of Leftist political philosophy never succeed in righting the wrongs they perceive. They spill other people's blood, and in the end only succeed in making everything worse.

Leftism isn't a legitimate point of view. It isn't an imperfect idea or a well-meant philosophy with some rough edges. It's the single most destructive force in modern civilization. It has a death toll that makes the Black Plague look like a case of the sniffles. Leftism has no place in civilized discourse and needs to be purged from the system like snake venin from the veins.

Yet it's the Left that doesn't hesitate to call down the mobs to trample we Conservatives into the blood-soaked earth.

What are we doing? Patting ourselves on the back for our restraint in not going so far as to call them out for their murderous ways and tell the full truth? That doesn't make us saints. Nor does it make us better people.

Just the opposite. Our rhetorical restraint makes us negligent in our duty to protect our fellow man from the Left's ideological tsunami of oppression and death.

It is imperative that we call out the Left for their history of extreme violence and bloodshed. Now more than ever, it's clear they have no defense. For example, politically speaking, there should be no connection between an unhinged Trans activist conducting a mass shooting spree and a radical Islamist doing the same thing.

Except that there is. They're both Leftists.

The Left doesn't have a violence problem. America (and the world) has a Leftist problem.
