every single one

It’s strange how I keep being told by the regime media and Democrat political flunkies, to the limited extent that those are different things, about how I didn’t vote for what Donald Trump is doing to illegal aliens. I keep hearing about how I don’t want ICE raiding Home Depots, factories, and non-Beatles strawberry fields or sending away 30-year illegal aliens or illegal alien honor students. I’m told that Donald Trump only promised to deport criminal aliens – in the sense that they committed other crimes besides the crime they committed by being illegal aliens – and that Trump can’t actually send criminal aliens away either.
[FULL TITLE: "We Voted to Deport Every Single One of Them".]
I find that odd because I voted to send every single one of them back.
And by “every single one of them,” I mean every single one of them. No exceptions. No quarter. No carveouts for farm or hospitality workers – the people trying to convince Trump to let up on that simply want to keep their serfs. Send them all back.
We tried tolerance, and 20 million uninvited Third World peasants settled here. It wasn’t just without our permission. It was against our express will, as manifested by our elected representatives passing laws and our elected president signing them. The Democrats babble endlessly about Our Democracy, but it’s weird that when we vote on something, they think they can tell us, “No, you can’t have what you voted for. You’re going to get what you expressly voted against.”
It gets even worse. We’re also somehow morally obligated to bear the burdens of the policy we expressly rejected by paying for these bums’ hotel rooms, food, medical care, and cell phones. We’re also obligated to endure their looting, raping, and murdering of decent American citizens. And, if we try to enforce the laws we passed – remember, this is supposed to be a democracy, but you don’t really have a democracy if you pass laws and they don’t get enforced – the Democrats will turn their catspaws loose and unleash the military wing of their garbage party to start rioting.
No. I did not vote for that. I voted not to submit. Everybody out. Get-o on-o el bus-o, you’re going back to that equatorial hellhole whose flag you proudly wave as you loot the local Apple store.
But “Illegal aliens are wonderful, hard-working people just here to make a better life.” I wouldn’t care even if that were true. There’s always a story with these regime media martyrs. They’re always shining paragons of goodness and light when the regime media highlights them to show the cold-heartedness of Donald Trump enforcing our democratically enacted laws. We all remember Maryland Man and how he went from humble, aspiring American to Tren de Agua human trafficker who beat the crap out of his wife – if you believe her sworn testimony given under oath multiple times – and who participated in the murder of another gangbangers’ mother while dabbling in the kind of perversions you might find in a Lincoln Project founder’s browser history.
They always turn out to be scumbags. The regime media always fails to mention that drug conviction, assault conviction, or lewd conduct with a minor conviction – there’s a whole lot of those. An extraordinary number of illegal aliens seem to be perverts of some stripe. Well, they can go be perverts back in their homeland where, hopefully, their countrymen handle perverts with extreme prejudice (assuming said perversion is not a key component of their culture, but enough about Middle East consanguinity and little boy fetishes).
Let’s just assume most illegal aliens are wonderful people whose only crime was to dream of a better life or something, though all of them are actual criminals just by being here illegally. Fine. Deport them all.
What about the hard-working family man who’s been here without documents for 30 years? Yeah, get the hell out.. It doesn’t make it better that you’ve successfully defied our laws – again, laws democratically passed by the people of the United States – for three decades. That makes it much, much worse. There’s no such thing as a legal alien tenure. Adios!
How about the guys hanging outside of the Home Depot? What about the ones who pick our fruits, blow leaves off our sidewalks and pluck our chickens? Who’s going to do the jobs Americans won’t do? Well, adequately paid Americans, especially once we stop giving free money to native citizens for sitting on their mom’s couches playing video games and smoking dope. Yes, we wholeheartedly support the mass deportation of the latest Democratic slave class. We totally voted for that – and I do not believe Donald Trump will break his word to us with a mini-amnesty. Promises made, promises kept – deport them all.
But who’s going to raise the children of liberal SSRI goblins? Don’t they need discount Guatemalan nannies to watch young Kayden and Ashleigh while they go to their jobs in marketing, HR, and optimizing synergy? You can’t expect them to put down the Chardonnay and pick up their kids. Sure, I can. Say “Adios” to Lupe and raise your own children. You might even find some of the fulfillment that eludes you and be able to stop trying to feed the emptiness inside your soul with drugs and the woke pagan gospel preached on “The View.”
What about the dreamer who is now an honor student? Well, we have a dream, too. We dream of a day when people like us – American citizens – can govern ourselves and have our will carried out instead of being ignored by our garbage ruling class. We dream of living in a democracy, not a sham. And as for those alleged honor students, I can’t think of any place that needs their amazing talents and the cure for cancer that they’re all just right on the edge of finding more than the crap-pile countries they were born in. We can’t be so selfish as to hoard these achievers for ourselves. We must facilitate their return so they can share their amazing potential with their own people.
To disagree with me means you hate foreigners and want them to die. I think that’s the only conclusion we can reasonably take from this.
The Democrats and the regime media are trying to run the scam that Donald Trump promised not to send anybody like that back, that he was going to focus only on criminals who had committed more crimes than just illegally coming to this country. But he didn’t promise that, and that’s not what we want anyway. We want them all gone, from child molester to two-year-old child. He can prioritize the pervs, rapists, multiple drunk drivers, gang members, and murderers, but that doesn’t mean that ICE should not also be tossing out every other illegal alien they can disappear. It should deport every single one of them.
We’re constantly told that we have some sort of moral obligation not to do the things that we put into law. I keep asking, but I never get an answer about where this moral obligation arises from. It’s not in the Bible – no, Jesus was not a divine anchor baby. Mary and Joseph were literally on the road to be counted in a census of legal residents. I do recall the whole thing about rendering to Caesar what is Caesar’s, though, which in this case would be a green card.
This alleged obligation doesn’t come from a statute. As we’ve discussed, the statutes are clear – get out and don’t come back. So, where does this moral obligation come from?
I think it comes from where the sun doesn’t shine. I think they just made it up. They just got together and decided that they think never deporting anybody would be a good idea, so now everybody is suddenly morally obligated to comply. Never mind if they never got our buy-in. Never mind if there wasn’t a vote on it. Never mind if the people literally voted for the opposite. No, the Democrats simply decided that ignoring immigration law is a moral imperative – please also ignore the fact that this would increase Democrat power by inflating population numbers for the purposes of apportionment and by changing America’s demographics from an uppity American citizenry that naively expects to participate in their own governance into a mass of Third World peasants who obey in return for a few scraps from the leftists’ table.
We decline to accept the Democrats’ unilateral moral declaration. That’s why we voted for Donald Trump to throw every single illegal alien out of our country.
I’m a linear guy, and I always felt that every illegal alien needs to pack up and hop on a southbound ICE party bus for a one-way trip to Tijuana. But some folks on our side are more soft-hearted than me and used to respond to these sob stories with the kind of Bushie compassion that helped get us into this mess. I’m happy to say that lame mindset is dying out. Our patience is gone. We’ve been burned too badly. We’ve been disrespected, dishonored, and deceived for too long. We’ve seen too many of our people die. The moderate position is now kicking them all out.
So yeah, we voted to deport all of them. Trump has sealed the border, so we’ve stopped digging the hole. It’s time to fill it in. We focus first on throwing out the criminal pluses – because every illegal alien is a criminal, it’s just some commit additional crimes – but that doesn’t mean the others get a free pass. No, all they get, should they refuse to self-deport, is a free trip out of the United States forever.
I totally voted for that.

A Day In The Life.

Up at 7a on Friday, a 65°F, moderate humidity, mostly sunny morning, I made coffee, took an aspirin for R/S Sciatic pain, fired-up the Win-7 Pentium HP Desktop to let 32 million lines of code load, had a couple smokes in the garage and checked the leftover errands list. I scanned the news and weather, tuned into the "CS Show LIVE" until 9a, and the "CP Show LIVE" from 9-12. I scanned the news and weather headlines, and neither were "normal" for the coming days and weeks. I found local WGAL-8 TV's video, and this cautionary weather warning, posted all over the Susquehanna Valley:
★★★ EXTREME HEAT WATCH ★★★
• .EXTREME HEAT WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING.
• Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values over 105° possible.
• A portion of central Pennsylvania east of I-99 and south of I-80.
• From Sunday morning through Wednesday evening.
• Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events.
• ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Heat index values and the associated risk of heat-related impacts will be highest
on Monday and Tuesday.• PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS:
Check up on relatives and neighbors, and provide pets with adequate water and shelter from the sun. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. In addition to the daytime heat, overnight low temperatures will also be
very warm and oppressively muggy.
After scanning the news, I still don't like the way Trump's "plan" is going; we're headed for a ME war, once again. Iran just might/will, for jihadi retribution, sneak a nuke into one of our ports and detonate it, as in The Sum of All Fears (2002) Movie (2:11:00); watch it if you have time. We have to be right 100% of the time; they only have to be right, 1% of the time. Trump should do it NOW, or just forget the 2-week delayed "plan". DO IT NOW!
Redbud "Forest Pansy" (cercis canadensis x hybrid)
I had fresh croissants for a light breakfast -- I have little appetite in hot, humid weather -- got ready for the day, readied my speciality tools and gear to prune a neighbor's Redbud "Forest Pansy" (cercis canadensis x hybrid), before Sherry arrived around 1p. With a very hot and dry Summer ahead, I opted to wait until October, when temps are down, the Fall rains have started and the small tree is soon ready to begin dormancy for the Winter. We did a nice drive to Flinchbaugh's Orchard & Farm Market, in nearby Hallam, for some goodies, and spent the rest of the afternoon at my place. Sherry left at 6p, I had some dinner and Key Lime Pie, watched the news and switched to History's "The Proof Is Out There", until 11:30. Lights out.
Up at 9a on Saturday, a sunny, blue sky, humid, 81° morning, I made Kona Coffee, had a smoke in the garage, fed the birds with some old Bacon-Egg-Cheese bread (still good) -- I got a new loaf yesterday at Flinchbaugh's -- and scanned the news and weather. With nothing live, worth a crap, on the radio waves this weekend, I tuned into Friday's Podcast of the "CP Show", on local York's WSBA Radio. I had condo chores to do, and worked on them thru the afternoon.
I had no TV on all day, and was working on 2 documents in MS-Word, so I missed ALL of the Breaking News about our strikes on the 3 Iranian nuke-related sites. BRAVO, BRAVO, US MILITARY! After dinner, I took a break in the documents' work, watched FNC to get caught-up, and by 12 midnight, bagged it for the night.
Up at 9a on Sunday, a clear sky, sunny, 78° and a very humid, morning. Temps are forecast to be over 100°, for the next 3-4 days, and that's going to curtail my going outside except for very short periods. I made coffee, and scanned the news and weather on my HP Desktop. I usually don't watch the Sunday 'Talk Shows" on any network, but they all were full of yesterday's Iran Nuke Sites' bombing. Makes me smile. It will be 'news' for days and weeks. Once again, BRAVO, US MILITARY!
Hells bells, somehow I knew this was coming:

★★★ EXTREME HEAT WARNING ! ★★★
• Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values over 105° expected for the Lower Susquehanna Valley.
• Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York Counties.
• From 11 AM this morning to 8 PM EDT Wednesday.
• Drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the sun, and stay in an air-conditioned room.
• Check up on relatives and neighbors, and provide pets with adequate water and shelter from the sun.
• Extreme Heat can be life-threatening among at-risk populations, such as children, the elderly, and those with pre-existing health conditions.
• In addition to the daytime heat, overnight low temperatures will also be very warm and oppressively muggy.
On my back patio, Sunday at 2p, it was 101° and 55% humidity. I had some things that I needed to do, on the coming Tuesday and Wednesday, but I'm rescheduling them, Monday morning. With my COPD, I can't risk it. I had to get the recycle bin and garbage bag out, and was almost falling down exhausted after just doing that. DAMN! Sunday was a very rough day for me; the only bright spot being a short call to Sherry, who was with Daughter Hollie, in Lancaster, on a Mother-Daughter Day, which I inadvertently interrupted.
After a small dinner -- I have very little appetite in this kind of weather -- I watered the 3 orchids, watched the news, and the talking head idiots on FNC babbling all day/night about the Iran Bombing, which they knew nothing about. I gave-up on TV and reverted to my HP Desktop, to work on "The Document" and "The Proposal". Lights out at 1a.
Up at 9:15a on Monday, already a sunny, windless, very high humidity, 91° morning, I made coffee, had a smoke in the oppressively-hot garage, tuned into the "CP Show LIVE", and called Regal Plumbing for a Friday service call. My cleaning lady will be in on Friday at 8:30a, since she's down at her/her husband's beach house on the Eastern Shore, MD. After deleting 2 stops, I was still determined to get my usual Monday down south in York County, 2-5 errand trip done, so I left at 12:30p, with only 3 stops. Back by 1:30, I unloaded, but had to go back to WEIS Pharmacy, which was closed from 1-1:30, for lunch. Back again, I got inside into the AC, where I could breathe. I had a slice of Bacon, Egg & Cheese Toast, first food of the day in this heat/humidity, got everything put away, and relaxed with some Gold Peak Zero Sugar Sweet Tea. Nice.
Heads-up: Sleeper cells ready and waiting for their "go orders", here in the US. I've said it for years -- as lone (islamist jihadi terrorists) wolves have acted out -- and it's never been more true than now.
By 6p, I'd had a light dinner, watched the evening news, switched to Motor Trend's "Iron Resurrection" series, until 12:30a, and finally unplugged.
Up at 8a on Tuesday, a clear, sunny, high humidity, oppressive 86° morning, I made coffee, had a quick smoke in the garage, fed the birds, and tuned into the "CP Show LIVE". I planned this yesterday: nowhere to go, and nothing to do. The lawn mower crews showed-up at 8a, and worked until almost noon. Finally, it was quiet again. I kept the shades closed, retrieved the recycle bin and got inside, out of the unbelievably-oppressive heat/humidity.
After a large plate of shredded hash browns, 3 sunny-side-up eggs and 2 pieces of toast, I tried to have a smoke in the garage and on the patio -- TOO DAMNED HOT!102° out there, and almost as bad in the garage, with zero breeze/wind. And the oppressive heat/humidity will be around Wednesday, too. I had a sip of cold tea, and took a 2hr nap on the LR couch.
I skipped dinner, watched the news, switched to History's "The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch" until 12 midnight, and bagged it for the night.
Up at 8:15a on Wednesday, a sunny, cloudless, very humid, already 84° and forecast for another 97°+ day-from-hell. Swell. I made coffee, had a couple smokes on the back patio, before it gets to 100°+; then I have to use the garage, which is dead space, wo/ any breeze. Almost -- did I say *almost*? -- makes me want to quit smoking, after 62yrs. Nah. I tuned into the "CP Show LIVE" until 12 noon, and worked on the "Mt Rose Proposal" while listening to it and the afternoon's follow-on show. Nothing on the radar maps, for any relief.
I finished-up the Mt Rose (Cemetery) Proposal, in MS-Word, and will work on the huge "The Document", as time permits. I drove over to nearby Rutter's convenience store to get some things and returned, to stay in for the rest of the day. I scanned the news and weather radar maps; still no relief in sight. A few cloud cells passed by, dropping the temp to 92°, but 5 mins aft6er they'd passed, it was back up to 102°. Just awful. I rescheduled 2 app'ts, stayed inside, and napped off-and-on all afternoon. I skipped lunch and dinner -- just light snacks -- watched the evening news, and switched to Discovery's "Expedition Files" until 11:30p. Lights out.
Up at 8a on Thursday, a sunny, very humid, 84°, forecast to hit 94°, no wind, I made coffee, scanned the weather and news, and tuned into the "CP Show LIVE". I'm tired of keeping the condo closed-up, with shades drawn, and storm/screen doors closed, to keep it dark and cool, due to the heat and humidity outside. This too, will (eventually) pass. An ***EXTREME HEAT ADVISORY*** is in effect for today. I'm not going out, not going anywhere. I still feel sick from the heat/humidity. I skipped the lab work for this morning, and will get to it next week.
I had a salad for a late lunch, and grabbed some Zs on the LR couch. Back up around 4:30, after a nice, 90min nap, it was just over 100° on the back patio, so I had a smoke in the garage, where it was only 96°. Meh. By 5, dozens of t-storm cells were moving our way, and looked like we'd get a little relief. ***SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH*** posted for the Susquehanna Valley. And... we got diddly-squat from the dark cloud front. Blew right over. Temps dropped from the cloud cover, as the massive t-storm cell went south and did a lot of hail and flood damage. Damn.
I had another salad for dinner, watched the news, a couple FNC shows, and switched to Discovery's "Caught" series, until 11, and unplugged.
Tomorrow starts a new week, here in the "Journal", and I've got my cleaning lady and a plumber in tomorrow, and my PCP (Primary Care Physician) next week, and perhaps, a day with Sherry, after she recovers from heat stress.
Boom.
Of course, you must expect a whole lot of deranged thinking after the USA’s Saturday night “Massive Ordnance Penetrator” (MOP) attack on Iran’s three nuke sites — because derangement drives the spirit of our time in Western Civ. France, Germany, the UK, Sweden still can’t wrap their brains around the jihad they have fecklessly invited inside their countries — and they prosecute anyone who suggests as much.
Over here, the Oregon state legislature brought in drag-queens to entertain members in the chamber . . .California taxpayers subsidize the riots in LA . . . a federal judge orders Kilmar Abrego Garcia released from custody . . . AOC endorses a Muslim lunatic for mayor in New York. . . . So it goes. In eight days, the United States and Israel eliminated Iran’s nuclear capabilities with minimal civilian casualties. One of the greatest military achievements ever.
For all that, often the simplest explanation is the correct one. Of the MOP attack on Iran, Secretary of State Rubio said, “They had all the pieces in place to have a nuclear weapon. . . now, not so much.” Mr. Rubio’s Sunday chat with Maria Bartiromo is well worth a listen for clarity. He also succinctly stated, “They [Iran] are the sole source of instability in the entire Middle East, and the world has been paying a price for this for forty-something years.”
Yet, the American hive-mind is aflame with histrionic hypotheticals over Iran, driven by the same prevailing anxiety that infects the illegal alien issue, lawfare, sexual insanity, our role in the Ukraine fiasco. The leitmotif lately is the popular idea that Israel controls the US like a puppeteer and that the Jews are out to rule the world. Yes, the shrill charge of “Zionism” boils down to that. (Just look at the comment section of this blog.)
There is, necessarily, uncertainty about the result of our MOP strikes. We will not be sending troops in to inspect Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan. Iran had time, while jerking-around American diplomats, to move its stockpile of 60-percent enriched uranium (if that’s what it was). But they no longer have the facilities to do anything with it, or the top scientists to run the program, and if they attempt to restart all of that, the US will have the option to take them out again. So, you can stop the handwringing over that.
Another popular rumor in circulation is that the MOAB mission was a charade, just a show that Mr. Trump put on to satisfy his ego. That assumes everybody in the chain-of-command was duped, a low-percentage supposition. How is it unclear that the president is not messing around? The main message is “No nukes for Iran.” There was, apparently, some part of that simple proposition the mullahs did not understand. Perhaps the Iranian people understand that the mullahs are not fit to govern their country. It looks like we’ll find out soon enough.
Meanwhile propaganda-central keeps trying to steer the hive-mind back onto RussiaRussiaRussia, and onto Mr. Putin especially. CBS’s 60 Minutes re-worked an old segment last night on Putin opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who died in prison last year at 47 under curious circumstances. I doubt we know the whole story, and CBS surely did not try to present it. But the main purpose was to call Mr. Putin names — thief, murderer, tyrant — and the reason for that was also clear and simple: to derail Mr. Trump’s efforts to normalize relations with Russia.
That effort is a cornerstone of Mr. Trump’s campaign to re-arrange trade relations in such a way that our country can become productive again, employing its citizens in a purposeful way. It happens to imply an end to the Ukraine war, which the Obama State Department and the CIA set the groundwork for in 2014. Ending this war is not in the interest of a certain Beltway blob that thrives on creaming-off the weapons industry. Their schemes require Russia to remain an enemy of the US, a wholly engineered idiocy that media outfits like CBS promote.
Viewed through a wider lens, the MOP mission was also intended as a message to China. It is a simple and straightforward message: Expect that Mr. Trump means what he says when he says it. He is not messing around. China has been messing around with us to a stunning degree, especially during the past four years of the phantom president “Joe Biden.” China has infiltrated every critical corner of American life: our government, our universities, our medical research, our computer tech sector, our finances, Hollywood, our news media, our critical infrastructure, you name it.
China has been waging war on us in every way except troops and kinetics. Mr. Trump seeks to end all these operations, without coming to blows. That is, he is trying to find a path to what used to be quaintly called peaceful coexistence. If there’s a reason that the political Left in America can’t get behind that simple idea, it might be because the CCP is too deeply mixed up in Democratic Party politics. Their intentions intersect: to bring chaos to America.
Earlier today (Monday), Iran sent another salvo of missiles into Israel at civilian targets, and Israel answered with its own salvo aimed at Iran’s government offices in Teheran. Many expect some sort of retaliation by Iran against the US, either at our bases around the Middle East and Mediterranean, or here in the homeland. You can’t doubt that Iran managed to sneak in many hundreds of capable saboteurs during the “Joe Biden” open border fiesta. Why wouldn’t they seize the opportunity? (Or China, too.)
There’s also the usual talk about Iran shutting down the Strait of Hormuz, through which roughly 20-percent of the world’s oil supply passes — and much of that (up to 45-percent) goes directly to China, which does not have enough of its own oil to function. So, blocking Hormuz would mainly harm Iran’s fellow BRICs nations in Asia while it would deprive Iran of the oil revenue that represents most of its national income. In other words, a really stupid play.
Otherwise, the Trump government looks to exit its role in the Iran-Israeli war. The chief aim has been accomplished. No nukes. Iran’s usual henchmen, Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis, are standing down for the moment, probably perceiving that Iran can no longer support, supply, or protect them. Israel is managing to do what it did in two earlier wars (despite doomish predications): prevail against its enemy. And rather quickly, too. Wouldn’t it be amazing if the Middle East happened to become a little peaceful for a while?

Regime Change Means More Migrants for the West.
A number of Republican senators and conservative pundits want regime change in Iran. “I think it is very much in the interest of America to see regime change,” Sen. Ted Cruz told Fox News on Sunday. “I don't think there's any redeeming the ayatollah.” Most pushing for regime change know they can’t go full neocon to sell the idea. The public is repelled by anything resembling the warmongering against Saddam Hussein, particularly talk about nation building.
So advocates for regime change in Iran have settled on a new formula: regime change, but without the nation building. Supposedly, this is completely different from what we’ve done before, but that’s unlikely to be the case. In fact, we already tried this strategy out in Libya 14 years ago. It did not make the world a better place. Instead, it resulted in a failed state in the Mediterranean that has allowed millions of Africans to pour into Europe.
Every time we play with a turd, we get crap on our fingers. Every single war unleashes a wave of refugees into the west. The Libyan disaster shows what the West gets out of regime change: more migrants flooding into our countries. It’s a factor no one beating the war drum considers. It’s assumed that the new Iranian government will mean peace and harmony throughout the region. Recent history paints a very different picture.
Israel would be the only clear beneficiary from regime change in Iran. The primary funder and arms supplier of their enemies would disappear. Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis would be greatly weakened without Iran, if not completely finished. Israel would no longer have a state enemy to worry about. Assad is gone from Syria and Israel has normalized relations with many of its neighbors. Chaos in Iran would be no issue for the Israelis, as a migrant crisis wouldn’t affect them. It may even prove beneficial to their interests. More fighting-age Muslims heading elsewhere means fewer potential enemy soldiers. The civil war in Syria destabilized and depopulated one of Israel’s chief enemies. The same thing happening to Iran would be a dream come true for Israel.
But it’s not clear how the West will benefit. The Islamic Republic is no friend to the U.S. and has committed many outrages against America and our allies. But it’s often better to stick with the devil you know rather than the one you don’t. Those pushing for regime change seem to think the mullahs will be replaced by America-loving liberal democrats who will thank Israel for bombing their land. All the Islamists will magically disappear and Tehran will finally welcome a Chappell Roan concert.
Not a single regime change has turned out this way. Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and Libya are far from model democracies. They all experienced violent civil wars that killed tens of thousands and created unstable governments. There’s a high likelihood the same would happen in Iran. Like these other countries, it’s not homogeneous and holds the seeds for ethnic conflict. Persians are only a bare majority of the population. Kurds and Azeris may fight for independence rather than stay in a decapitated Iran. That would further destabilize the region, as it would obviously cause conflict with neighboring states. The Islamists will still be around and fighting for their cause. It’s unclear what serious alternative to the mullahs exists, especially one that could keep the country together. A power vacuum is far more likely to lead to violence than to a harmonious resolution in favor of liberal democracy. Just look at what happened to post-Saddam Iraq.
If violence breaks out, prepare for another migrant wave. Over two million Iraqis left their homeland after America “liberated” it. Over six million Syrians fled their country during their civil war. The fall of Muammar Gaddafi in Libya made the North African country a gateway for millions of African migrants to go to Europe. Hundreds of thousands of Afghans left their nation in the wake of failed nation building.
It’s extremely likely there will be another migrant crisis if the mullahs fall. This could even be the biggest one of all if it results in a regional war involving multiple state actors. Iran is more populous than the previous states that experienced regime change, meaning more potential migrants. The instability could also revive the fortunes of ISIS and other Sunni extremists. Another Middle Eastern country falling to chaos and anarchy would serve as the perfect launch pad for another caliphate, just like it did in Syria.
The migration waves caused by civil war in Libya and Syria forever changed Europe. The whole matter of boat crossings became a grave concern after America helped topple Gaddafi. The Libyan strongman had made deals with European leaders to keep a lid on migrant sea crossings. With him out of the picture, there was no longer anyone around to block the waves of African migrants. In 2011, there were around 28,500 migrants crossing the Mediterranean Sea to Italy. By 2016, that number had shot up to 163,000.
The Syrian migration wave made this problem even worse. Then-German chancellor Angela Merkel famously welcomed hundreds of thousands of Syrians in 2015, with other European states following her lead. Hailed as the dawn of a new, more wonderful Europe, the Syrian migrants proved more of a curse than a blessing. Many Europeans now see these migrants as having brought only crime, cultural change, and welfare dependence. Immigration is now a central issue for Europeans and has roiled continental politics.
America backed regime change in Syria by funding rebel groups. ISIS and Europe’s migrant woes were the sole returns on this investment.
Taking in migrants is a choice, of course. But Europe struggles mightily to control its borders already. Governments that try to enforce basic immigration law often find their actions blocked by courts and the European Union. Some leaders, such as Italian interior minister Matteo Salvini, have faced criminal charges for trying to block migrant boats. Greece may face sanctions over its efforts to keep migrants out of Europe. European nations even struggle to deport convicted child rapists and murderers. Keeping out migrants is easier said than done. Another migrant wave on the scale of what Europe witnessed in 2015 would push the continent to the breaking point.

The New York City mayor's race is this way by design.
The polls showing that Zohran Mamdani, a socialist and Muslim terror supporter who only became a citizen in 2018, could become the mayor of New York City, where his compatriots murdered thousands of Americans, may or may not be true, but there’s no reason why they wouldn’t be. The New York City mayor's race is this way by design.
Mamdani is up against Cuomo, a repulsive and widely hated figure that opponents of the Muslim socialist are only getting behind because the alternative is even worse, and then Mayor Eric Adams, whom much of the city probably right believes is corrupt. There are other candidates in the race, but at this point they don’t really matter very much.
But above all else, the only reason Mamdani’s numbers look this good is that ranked choice voting is doing what it’s supposed to.
Ranked choice voting is designed to elevate fringe candidates who normally wouldn’t have much of a shot in a normal race. And then the same hipster-industrial complex that went to town making De Blasio seem cool and relatable goes to work on what sociopath they picked to make him seem acceptable to at least enough people, not as a first choice, but as a choice.
Add on the large voting base of elderly people who assume that candidates are ranked in order of preference and end up ranking bad candidates last, the whole thing can be moneyballed into a catastrophe.
