Refineries in the Northeast are under financial pressure for two reasons. They have limited access to cheaper, high-grade crude oil produced in the middle of the US because there are not enough pipelines, which is forcing them to pay more for oil from elsewhere, most of it from overseas. He has absolutely NO AUTHORITY to approve the southern leg; he has only authority to approve 50ft of the northern leg; specifically the 50ft chunk which crosses the US Border into Canada. He's a LIAR!

A Day In The Life
Here are some of the main reasons why I closed my business' doors, on October 28th, 2011: The US Gov't & UN first attacked the US' domestic ag & hort industries in May 2011, viscously with proposed harsh and burdensome rules, regulations, permit fees, daily reporting guidelines and fines/penalties. Fortunately, it was defeated by the GOP Conservatives/Democrats in The US House of Reps. Then, the criminal, corrupt, lib-dem-run US Govt & UN continued their unrelenting attacks on us, again. The paperwork and financial burdens soon became overwhelming for me and thousands of others, resulting in red ink on the bottom-line and me pulling-the-plug, last Fall. Controlling the food (water, too) and job (money) supplies *controls everyone*; no exceptions. Simply having and owning all of the farmable, food-producing land and potable water, is *very real power*. And by driving small family-owned, farm-related businesses like me – who created 70% of America's jobs – out-of-business, the now-Marxist, US Govt is concentrating the real power in a few hands of their corrupt, criminal cabal's own choosing, If you've got nothing to do, find something to do. If it's not important, make it important. putting millions out of work and everyone on the "govt cheese" (unemployment, food stamps, welfare etc). The UN is a communist organization, determined to first curb, and then finally destroy America's Freedoms. When their Marxist/socialist goals are accomplished, our US Dollar-based economy collapses in upon itself, unemployment is rampant, fuel prices – and everything related to it, such as transportation, farming, food, manufacturing – and the very basics and essentials of day-to-day life, skyrocket and the US Public is impacted in ways too terrible to imagine. With 14.5% of America – that's 41.8 MILLION! – now on food stamps, and with a nation of "takers" instead of "producers" rapidly-emerging, we're headed directly into full-blown Marxism/communism. I hope you "get it" and are prepared for what's coming. Okay, enough of that.
On Friday, March 16th, I was up at 4:15am, after another restless sleep. Normally, I'd feed Murphy, shut the place down and go back to sleep for another 2-3hrs, but this would be a very busy weekend. I also decided not to go to The Cabin this weekend, as there was just too much to do with recurring router/email/Net connectivity problems, 4 people coming to the GC&N Complex to dig plants today and Saturday, yet another nursery stock buyer coming Saturday to select trees for purchase, a 100-person property-buyer's tour on Sunday afternoon, an "Irish comfort-food" Corned Beef & Cabbage lunch at Mom & Dad's on Sunday, and I had to get it all done in this short weekend. I had no other choice; it was all hitting at once.
After watering/feeding Murphy, making breakfast and coffee, I got ready to leave at 7:30am for an 8:15 tree-digging appointment and lengthy cleaning work project, at the property. As I was leaving the property around 10:45am, Sherry & Linda arrived, and we went Lord, Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the Courage to change the things I can; and the Wisdom to know the difference. for a nice, hearty breakfast at a local "Family Restaurant" in Red Lion, where I also had several errands to do and other stops to make. I was tired when I got home around 2:30, fed & watered Murphy, worked almost 3 hours installing a new router, configuring the unit and computer, writing-out checks for upcoming bills and decided to take a "brief nap". It was almost 8:45pm when I woke-up on the couch; damn. I missed my 8pm Church Meeting and 99% of the "Mark Levin Show". I had some Watermelon Sherbet with an Egg & Olive Salad Sandwich, listened to the final hour of his show, and called it a day. Saturday and Sunday would also be busy days.
Up on Saturday at 5:15am, I fed/watered Murphy, made Sunny-Side-Up Eggs & Fried Pancetta Italian Bacon w/ Toast & Coffee, armed the Condo and left at 7:45am for my 8:30 meeting. The people finally showed-up at 9am, but their tardiness gave me a chance to go through the Complex another time and do some last-minute clean-up before Sunday's "tour" by the prospective buyer group of 100, and replace a burnt-out lightbulb on one of the 3 outside door lamps. The Autumnalis Cherries (Prunus x subhirtella 'Autumnalis') were blooming, as was the Winter Hazel (Corylopsis glabrescens) in splendid yellow, and the Canadian Geese had arrived and were ready to stake a claim on one of the ponds, as they've done for the past 21+ years. I miss it all, after so many years. I was back home by 2pm, made a Reuben Sandwich & Chips for lunch with Ocean Spray® Diet Blueberry-Pomegranate Juice, wrote out checks for some bills, If you live long enough, you have regrets, and the ones that "nag" at you the most, are the ones where you knew you had a choice. The very same ones where you knew you could have stopped yourself; the very same ones where you looked into a mirror, and everything good inside yourself said, "Don't do this". worked on installing and configuring the new router, listened to a "Mark Levin Show Rewind" and finally called it quits, around 9pm. Murphy was already asleep on the bed.

Awake on Sunday at 5am, to water/feed Murphy and go food shopping at the East York Weis Market, by 7. I had to go home, get the mail at the Condo's "community mailbox", unpack and put away the goods, and then down to the GC&N Complex to get some work done, then next back up to Mom & Dad's for lunch, and back down to the Complex for a 2pm meeting and 3:30-to-who-knows-when "tour", which could take several hours. At 8:30am, I had no idea of what it all would entail. I had a very restless/sleepless night and was tired already, by my 10am arrival at my now-closed business. I knew that I wouldn't last very long into the evening hours before I needed to get some sleep, no matter how much additional coffee/caffeine I consumed. I was already losing that battle by 11:30, when I left for the 30mile trip north for a visit and lunch.
After a delicious and mammoth "Irish comfort-food" lunch with Mom & Dad, I had a huge container of leftovers, so I went back to my Condo and stuck them into the 'fridge, drove down to the GC&N, where I met with my realtor at 2pm, did some more front road/grounds debris clean-up, and waited for the "tour" to begin. Almost 1½hrs later, they finally arrived, as I was beginning to nod-off in my Jeep. After that event was finally over, around 6:15pm, I headed home, fed/watered Murphy, made a Grilled Ham, Swiss, Tomato, Lettuce, Sliced Pepper, Egg & Olive Salad on Rye Bread Sandwich and Ocean Spray® Diet Blueberry Juice, and called it a day at 7:30. Enough, already. The food was making me so drowsy, so quickly, that I was almost relieved that I hadn't stopped at Linda's for an invited afternoon/evening BBQ, or I'd most certainly have not made it home safely. I could have used the wonderful company and good atmosphere of her, husband Scott and mutual friend Sherry, but my/others' personal safety was the major consideration, at that point. Sleep felt good, after the past few nights of sleep deprivation.
Monday is "chores day" around the Condo, as my new cleaning lady comes in every other Tuesday to do vacuuming/dusting/mopping etc, so I slept-in until 6am, fed & watered Murphy, made a quick breakfast and coffee, grabbed a shower, did laundry, emptied/refilled Murphy's 2 basement litter pans (NOTE To Self: need to get 2 high-sided pans for Murphy, as he now "whizzes-over" the 6" sides), got the garbage ready to go out for Tuesday morning pick-up, the first day of Spring (3/20/12). Heh, Spring's been here for most all Winter. Monday at 7:30am and a balmy 52°F; go figure. We're in a major drought right now, as a result of almost zero Winter snow/precip, and I'm guessing it's going to get much, much worse in the coming months. There'll be unimaginable casualties in peoples' gardens, in the Spring and Summer months, showing-up this Fall. I'm actually glad to be out of that business.
I just ordered a 12-lb bone-in, spiral-cut, honey-glazed, "Honey-Baked Ham" for Easter Sunday Dinner, April 8th, for Mom & Dad to have here at the Condo, with me, as we did last Christmas, when I made Chicken Cordon Bleu. But things may change for all those plans, as Dad probably has to undergo an operation to repair a 5cm Abdominal Aorta Annuerism, found when he had the pacemaker installed, after his heart attack last April. That comes first and foremost, always. His Cardiac Surgeon's App't is Monday, March 26th, and I'll know more that evening about the final schedule. All plans on-hold until then.
I found the high-sided pans for Murphy at Weis Market in East York, finished my Condo "chores", paid some bills and listened to the "Mark Levin Show", from 6-9pm EST (more live links here). I need to drop 15-lbs, so I skipped my usual "light dinner and sherbet", and will, for a while until I get rid of it. I closed-down at 9:30 and called it a day.
On Tuesday, I had an 8am meeting at the GC&N Complex and my 2 cleaning ladies would be in at 10, so I was up at 6, fed & watered Murphy, made breakfast and coffee, wrote a check for the cleaning people, checked the mail and *finally* got the Breuer Chair protective floorclips (ordered 2/20), and left for the morning. After the meeting and numerous errands, I finally got home around 3pm to Murphy needing feeding/watering, a nice t-storm and some much-needed moisture. After a very filling, late-lunch, I did some personal monthly budget work on the computer, listened to the "Mark Levin Show", until Murphy had come downstairs twice, and "pestered me enough" to shut-down for the day and get some sleep at 9:30pm. I needed that.
It's not the early warmth which bothers me, it's the *humidity*: 95% and very uncomfortable. I had the Condo's AC on at 75°F, all night, trying to dry-out the air, after having the place open all day while the cleaning ladies were here. By 5:30am on Wednesday, it was finally comfortable enough for me. I fed & watered Murphy, made some breakfast and coffee, and headed-out to get a carton of Marlboro©s and more coffee. I had an appointment at S&D Automotive – my Cousin's Daughter's/Husband's Mercedes-Benz Automotive Shop – in York, to evaluate getting the Jeep's rear shocks and driver's side inner fenderwell guard, replaced. I'm scheduled for next Tuesday, as they have to order the parts.
Well, damn; I knew "it" was going to happen. The black chair glides from www.breuerchair.com are marking-up my light-colored kitchen floor. Crap. Now, I just found these 1" OD clear units (KSOC10-10, at another place, so I'll order a set from them via UPS and see how they work. Maybe I can recommend these, if they work, to the folks at the other company as an alternative to those crappy black ones. They just aren't working on a light-colored or white floor. Back to the ¾" stick-on felt pads for the Breuer Chair 1" sled chair rails, from Home Depot®, for now. Damn.
Yes, I've taken an aspirin (325mg) everday for over 25 years, and in the past 7 years, with my BP meds/Vit-E/Vit-B3/Fish Oil/Vit-C supplements. I don't take any "painkillers", as they're very addictive, while aspirin itself is a very powerful drug, and works great for me when taken in moderation. The other "pain relievers" (acetaminophen, ibuprofen etc) destroy your liver, in medium and long term usage. Take aspirin/coated aspirin if you can; avoid that other crap.
I decided not to go to The Cabin, this weekend; I have too much going on around here, plus my 8pm Friday Church Meeting. After listening to the "Mark Levin Show", from 6-9pm EST, I called it a day at 9:30. Murphy was up in "the loft", and readily agreed.
Up late (for me) at 6:15am on Thursday, I had to get "you-know-who" fed & watered right away, make some coffee to help wake-up from oversleeping, and finally decided on something for breakfast. I decided to stay home for the day to do paperwork, pay bills and do some cleaning and conserve gas. And get to sleep by 9pm, after listening to the "Mark Levin Show", from 6-9pm EST. Yes, each night.
