Pacifying the planet's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it. The US is more than up to the task, with or without our perfidious "allies", who've sold Iraq chemical, biological and nuclear weapons equipment and material in the years since Gulf War I, in violation of the UN Treaty. Payback to them will be a bitch, in coming years. In fact, we're going to re-draw the Middle East map, and payback to our enemies there, will be much worse than anyone can imagine. I look forward to watching the transformation, and seeing all the cowardly Mooooooos-lim rats deserting their deviant Islamic boats: dead.

Iraq Attack..
At 6:10pm on Wednesday, I saw the sign that it was imminent: W was going on TV to tell the Nation that we're going in, although we'd already been there since early that afternoon, fighting in the southern oilfields around Basra. Despite the complicit-in-crime, cheese eating surrender monkey Frenchie scumbag fags, and traitorous whining people here in this country, it needed doing. Our worthless NATO ally, Turkey, is cowardly dogshit. The gutless, toothless UN, was and is, incapable, impotent and irrelevant. That leaves it up to US. Natch.
I stayed up until 10pm Wednesday, then hit the sack. I knew that, once underway, it would go quick and hard. Back up at 05:00am on Thursday, I tuned-in to FNC and logged-on: TSHTF in Baghdad and Kuwait. Stuff was flying all over the place. Sirens going off, reporters reporting with gas masks, but no film of troops in action, yet. Dang. Still no "shock and awe" barrage, though.
Three developments at 6am, Thursday: Small number of Iraqi missile strikes in Kuwait City and US Marine units in northern Iraq. No evidence of chem/bio, yet. Possible small aircraft in area of US Marine troops. Patriots intercepted some of the incoming. Special Ops are actively "preparing the battlefield" in Iraq in advance of the coming (((Shock & Awe))). Large action underway in Afghanistan. And so it goes.
Other than a couple of landscape appointments, I spent Thursday at my desk, watching the Iraq Attack on the 13" RCA Color TV I'd bought on the morning of 9-11, to watch The Massacre of September 11th. A fitting irony, IMO.

With Spring ***technically here*** today, I'm seeing some encouraging signs that Winter may indeed be in its last throes. We've seen robins here for 5 weeks, now, and tree and shrub buds swelling within the past two weeks of upper-50s and mid-60s temps. I'm still using 40-80lbs of birdseed a week, just to make sure they're fed. It's going to be a great Spring-Summer-Fall for landscaping, due to the massive moisture additions, but I think that Winter is going to be longer than usual. Temps in the 50s and 60s have awoken bulbs near the surface, and Early Spring is putting on quite a show. By now, all of the berried shrubs and trees have been stripped bare by the birds and emerging rabbits are feasting upon the emerging spring bulb shoots. And just last Saturday, I was drving through Stewartstown (PA), five miles south of my GC&N Complex, when I noticed the Eureka Fire Co was having a BBQ! I stopped and got a pit-beef, pit-ham and pit-turkey. Wowzer, were they ever good. It's gotta be Spring! Got my vote.
Temps in the 50s and 60s all last weekend and week; I'm ready to declare and end to Winter and get the landscape and landscape maintenance crews into action. But I still don't think Spring is really here, as witnessed by the latest snowstorms in the Plains and Midwest. Quandry: what to do, what to do? Do I take the risk of bringing out all the nursery stock, and perhaps getting whacked by a snow or ice storm in the coming days or weeks? I'm checking the online The Farmer's Almanac and The Old Farmer's Almanac, for some kind of clue. Okay, we're doing it: start bringing the nursery stock out and get it set up.
